Powers/Abilities: Professor Diminutio was an extremely clever humanoid extraterrestrial who used advanced technology to realize his ambitious but murderous plan, initially targeting men, to conquer Earth.
History:
(Astonishing#6/5 (fb) - BTS) - Professor Diminutio, the chief scientist on Agros, developed reducible material that would shrink on contact with human flesh, then return to its normal shape. He then set out to exterminate the human race on Earth.
(Astonishing#6/5) - Many cases of strangulation began to puzzle the police as there were witnesses who saw no evidence of foul play. Bob Grayson happened by Central Police Headquarters and was told by a detective that the only link between the deaths was tailor-made suits, and he was shown a sample. Grayson recognized it as alien cloth and investigated using a contact he had back on his homeworld of Uranus. Meanwhile, the police tracked the suits back to a tailor, but he had already disappeared. Grayson, now in his Marvel Boy identity and prepared for trouble, was able to find Diminutio at an abandoned lab at Marmouth University and confronted the alien. Diminutio protested his innocence, suggesting that the two exchange their outer clothes to prove it wasn't reducible. Now in contact with Grayson's human skin, the suit fabric contracted and Marvel Boy pretended to be strangled, although he had secretly put on a steel collar to prevent strangulation. Diminutio then wrapped Marvel Boy's body into a bolt of fabric and drove to the skyport, intending to steal Grayson's spaceship and dump the body into space. Marvel Boy broke free and caused the car to crash, knocking out Diminutio. Marvel Boy took the villain to the police station and had him arrested, explaining Diminutio's bizarre plan.
