Powers/Abilities: Hans Enoch was a normal man who was a recluse and disliked the company of others. He seemed to suffer from enochlophobia (see comments)
History:
(Mystery Tales#19/3 (fb) - BTS) - Hans Enoch was socially reclusive and withdrawn from the world, and did not own a radio. He preferred to stay at home and read old books and not newspapers. He also disliked shopping in the town. Meanwhile, the government identified this town to be the subject of atomic testing and communicated the evacuation by newspaper and radio.
(Mystery Tales#19/3) - Wanting people to leave him alone, he nevertheless went into the town to get groceries but was astonished to find it completely deserted; all the townsfolk and even the animals had disappeared. Happy that he was finally alone, he looted the shops for food and clothes, carting his stolen supplies in a wheelbarrow and planning for a personal party alone. He made several more trips. However, nausea and dizziness from radiation soon set in, and his whole body became itchy with his skin starting to fall off his body with his clothes slowly disintegrating. In extreme pain, he ventured again into the town but there was no doctor to help him, so he set out for the next town, moving slowly through his village. His skin continued to fall off and when he reached the town limits, he saw the big sign declaring that the town had been evacuated and was off limits to all as it was being subjected to atomic tests. Having never read the newspapers, he did not know of the situation, and his withered body with bones already showing fell before the billboard.

decaying body, Enoch's face is GREEN -- Gamma Radiation, perhaps? Maybe
he could have been a "Hulk" who didn't quite make it all the way...
