(Man Comics#21/5) - Accompanied by Sgt. Davis and Andy, Private Bill Donohue was helping to lay cables from a jeep and establish communication centers in advance of US troop movements in the Korean countryside during the Korean War. They came across a ravaged and burning village with a boy as the only survivor of a North Korean attack. Donohue took the boy under his wing and the boy saw what he considered miracles, such as a two-way radio. The boy asked Donohue to avenge his village's deaths with more miracles. As the American G.I.s were finishing setting up communications, the boy showed Donohue a nearby river from which to drink. However, communist soldiers attacked, taking the other two US soldiers prisoner, with Donohue escaping into the water with the boy. The two swam underwater, only coming up for air once they were amongst reeds. They each then used a reed to breathe underwater as the enemy soldiers waded past. Believing the two dead but actually watched by them, the communist soldiers loaded up rafts and took land mines across the river to an empty beach to lay a deadly trap for the advancing US forces. Donohue identified the trap to lure the US soldiers onto the beach in pursuit of the communist soldiers and so he set out to stop them. Knowing he couldn't make it back to the US base, Donohue swam back across the river with the boy to gather equipment left at the jeep. Through the night, he used the truck's generator, wire and drums to make a transformer with the water intended as a conductor. By daybreak, he was done and saw the communist soldiers lead a chase followed by American soldiers. The communists stuck to running through the water with the US soldiers about to cross the mined beach when Donohue stepped on the jeep's starter, causing a flow of a shock of electricity that electrocuted all the "red" soldiers. He freed his two fellow G.I.s and warned the oncoming US troops. Donohue then agreed with the boy that a miracle had occurred that killed the enemy soldiers.
