Powers/Abilities: Danny Boy's powers are unrevealed; he seems to be a simple brawler, but his physical power must be tremendous - possibly even Class 100 strength (defined as the ability to lift over 100 tons) - and his durability must be comparably superhuman.

History: (Sentry II#3 (fb)) - The Sentry and the Hulk travelled to the Negative Zone to oppose Danny Boy. In the ensuing battle, Danny Boy was stranded in the Zone and his hat was flattened.

(Sentry II#3) - Much later, the pair returned to the Negative Zone in pursuit of Sentry's enemy the General. When they arrived, they discovered that the General had raised an army from the denizens of the Negative Zone, including Danny Boy, trapped in the Zone since his original defeat and still nursing a grudge about his hat. However, he (and the rest of the army) were handily defeated.

Danny Boy is one of many brief flashback villains used to retroactively establish the Sentry's long superhero career. Danny Boy even got a rematch against Sentry and Hulk in the present day, although he is easily beaten. Man, but I'd like to see him come back.

Although Danny Boy accuses the Sentry and Hulk of "[leaving him] to rot" in the Negative Zone, the initial flashback panel implies that the pair travelled there specifically to fight him. It may be that they destroyed some piece of equipment that would have allowed him to travel through the dimensions, or otherwise nullified his ability to leave.

He doesn't look like much, but if he by himself is a credible threat to a team-up of the HULK and SENTRY, the guy's got to have some serious power behind him.

Also, of course, Danny Boy is named after the Irish-American standard. Oh, Danny Boy, the pipes, the pipes are callin'...
