Powers/Abilities: Chernobog could produce Darkforce, which Darkstar drew from, and which could be wielded to produce a variety of effects. It used its Darkforce mass to generate extremely long solid tendrils, but it abhorred bright light.
History:
(Exiles I#84 (fb) - BTS) - On Earth-3470, as one of the oldest Russian Gods, Chernobog was conjured by Darkstar to enter the Earthly dimension and save Russia from destruction. Once in the Earth dimension, Chernobog's intent was to blanket the planet with Darkforce, smothering every living creature and causing the Earth to become one large lifeless black ocean.
(Exiles I#84) - The Exiles were able to determine Chernobog's motives in advance, and were dispatched from the Panoptichron (Crystal Palace) to assist Alpha Flight in stopping Darkstar’s team, the Soviet Super-Soldiers. While the super-soldiers were stopped, Darkstar was in the middle of conjuring Chernobog, and inadvertently released him. Ultimately, Aurora and Northstar were able to hurt him with their light blasts, and Snowbird was able to send him back to the Dark Dimension.

Chernobog was cast back into the Dark Dimension, but the actual mythological deity resided in Nav (Slavic Underworld); whether these are the same remains to be seen.
Given
that this Chernobog was from
an alternate Earth, it is assumed that he had the same occupation,
group membership, relatives and
aliases as per Slavic
mythology. Several sources on Chernobog
in myth can be found. His Earth-616 counterpart has yet to be seen. Of
note
is that Chernobog is called "a Russian Elder God" in the Exiles story.
