History:

(Daredevil I#47 (fb) – BTS) – Mobster Biggie Benson continually tried buying off policeman Willie Lincoln, but Lincoln wouldn’t bend. Benson got revenge by hiring Whitey Barton to claim that Lincoln had taken a bribe. This was enough to get Lincoln kicked off the force. Lincoln later went into the military during the Viet Nam conflict and came back blinded.

(Daredevil I#47) – Benson was summoned to appear in court on the Lincoln issue, and laughed about it, having heard Lincoln had gone blind in the war. Benson sent one of his hoods to knock off Lincoln, but Daredevil managed to stop him. Benson soon appeared in court where he was questioned by Lincoln’s lawyer, Matt Murdock. He denied all claims against him, but was shocked when Murdock called Whitey Barton to the stand. By claiming that the night Lincoln was alleged to take the bribe was foggy, Murdock got Barton to admit that Benson was behind it all. Benson was soon released on $25,000 bail. He sent more of his stooges to take care of Lincoln, but Daredevil fought them criminals off.

(Daredevil I#49 (fb) – BTS) – Wanting revenge on Daredevil, Benson contacted talented robotics specialist Starr Saxon. Saxon built a robot that he claimed could defeat Daredevil.

(Daredevil I#49 (fb)) – Benson, in jail, agreed to pay Saxon’s asked price and looked forward to his revenge on Daredevil.

(Daredevil I#50) – Benson was shocked when Daredevil broke into his cell, claiming that Saxon’s robot was coming after Benson. Benson didn’t believe the hero and punched him, then screamed as the robot burst through the wall.

(Daredevil I#51) – Benson screamed for help, but to no avail as the robot picked him up and prepared to kill him. The guards and police surrounded the robot, who dropped Benson. Benson made a run for it, but the giant robot collapsed the catwalk beneath him and Benson fell to his death.
