History:

(Invincible Iron Man I#500 (fb) - BTS) - The Bastard Sons of Wilbur Day, called an anti-super hero anarchist techno-terror cell (but considered wannabes), was based out of Red Hook, New York. Formed in the name of Wilbur Day, the deceased Stilt-Man, they utilized the following manifesto: "The hour is at hand! We the Bastard Sons of Wilbur Day advocate violent and immediate revolution against a technologically based industrial-informational hierarchy designed from the boot at the neck of the proletariat up... We will strike back against the corrupt, fascist heart of super-police unchecked by morality or decency with the very weapons they oppress us with, and our revolutionary brothers and sisters around the world... His name was Wilbur Day! He was the Stilt-Man! He saw technology as a tool of equalization. But the rich white men in power said no. He was murdered in the streets like a dog. Well, surprise, super-fascists! His sons now rise up." Seeking to make a name for themselves, the terrorists stole the design for a forgotten Stark weapon called a Titanomech and began building it.

(Invincible Iron Man I#500) - When Iron Man and Spider-Man attacked just before the weapon was ready, the Bastard Sons drew their guns and attacked, but were quickly overwhelmed and frightened by the capabilities of the heroes. They rushed off while Iron Man questioned one about the Stark plans, but the young man just spit in Stark's face. The other members returned with heavier artillery, killing the man Iron Man had been questioning with a shot, then launched the super-weapon, announcing their plans to return the world to the Iron Age with no technology. The weapon chased the heroes across the city, destroying vast amounts of property (including the Bastard Sons' HQ, seemingly), before the heroes crashed the device, safely rescuing its pilots and webbing them up for the police.
