History: (Marvel Super Special#13 (fb) - BTS) - The Savage Elves were descendents of elves from Klarn who were absent when Klarn was flung into the air by the sorcerer Darklens and the Region of Shadow created beneath the landmass. The Savage Elves dedicated their lives to protecting Weirdworld from the evil of Darklens. Eons after Darklens' death, the Dark Riders brought his body to the Tomb of Limbo to prepare for his resurrection using the Darklens gems, but the elves stole the gems. With their numbers dwindled to a mere six, the elves gave the gems to one of their number to find the sorcerer Zarthon for help.

(Marvel Super Special#11) - The Savage Elf traveled through the Great Marsh, pursued by the Night-Fangers. He was almost killed by a Swamp Serpent, but Tyndall of Klarn came to his aid and slew the creature. However, the elf did not even stop to thank him, instead continuing on his way.

(Marvel Super Special#12) - The Savage Elf was pursued into the City of Seven Dark Delights by the Night-Fangers in the form of the Dark Riders. The elf ran into Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt again, who tried to help him against the Dark Riders, but the elf was struck down by the Dark Riders. Dying, he gave the Darklens gems to Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt, saying "Zarthon" before dying.

(Marvel Super Special#13) - Zarthon sent Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt to the Tomb of Limbo to destroy Darklens' remains with the gems, and they met the five remaining Savage Elves. From the Elves, they learned their history and shared with them the fate of their slain emissary. The Savage Elves watched as Zarthon claimed the power of Darklens and fought with the "White Wolf" god, ultimately perishing. The Elves renamed the Tomb of Limbo the "Shrine of the Dawning Miracle." When Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt left, the Elves were still kneeling at the shrine.

"Savage Elves" is what Tyndall, Velanna and Mud-Butt dubbed the characters; their names for themselves were unrevealed.
