History: 

(Savage Sword of Conan I#185/2) - Nedia was a delicate princess grown in a city-state near Mesonia. She was to wed the Prince of Mesonia, a neighboring city-state, to mantain peace between the kingdoms. The King, hired Conan to escort Nedia to Mesonia by night.

    The journey was hard for a delicate girl as the princess. Scared by a flight of bats, she was terrorized by a giant rat, a great serpent and was almost captured by a giant spider. The meeting with a slimy frog was almost as dreadful as the sight of a dinosaur who had Conan and Nedia run for their lives.

    After a night of adventures, Conan and Nedia arrived in Mesonia. Nedia was then able to recognize a real man in Conan, and when she met her prince, she despised his weakness. However, the call of the silks, a hot bath and the harmony of the two city-states forced her to stay, even with many doubts.

    The Prince welcomed Nedia with gifts of jewels, silks and fine foods and managed to convince her to stay in Mesonia.

The giant spider

    The giant spider was bigger than a man and could weave a giant web.

    The spider lived in a cavern on some mountains between Masonia and Nedia's city.

    When Nedia ran too near the spider's web, Conan had to kill the spider. He launched his sword which stabbed the spider's body, killing it.
