History

(Power Man and Iron Fist I#107 (fb) - BTS) - Victor Kreeger built the Hammer of Judgement with the purpose to use it to force the Zeno Saturn imposter to reveal the fate of his son Mortimer, the real Zeno Saturn.

(Power Man and Iron Fist I#107) - The Kreeger family managed to lure the false Saturn Zeno home to celebrate his 21st birthday, but he brought with him his two bodyguards, Power Man and Iron Fist. Despite the presence of the Heroes for Hire, Victor Kreeger activated the Hammer of Judgement. The robot, using various secret passages hidden in the walls, reached Zeno's room and threatened him with death for his sins. After a few seconds, it was distracted by the two heroes but it managed to hold them back and escape in the sudden darkness that fell in the room.

After dinner, the android again attacked the would-be Zeno, still threatening and terrorizing him, and again escaped in the ensuing darkness, using a secret passage to reach the roof. From there, it grabbed Zeno at the window, but was thwarted by Iron Fist and had to fight him instead. Iron Fist's agility let him unmask the Hammer of Judgement, revealing its robotic resemblance. No longer restraining himself, Iron Fist hit the android using his iron fist's full power, crashing and deactivating it. Shortly after, Victor, wearing the Hammer of Judgement's suit, succeeded in making Zeno reveal the truth about Mort Kreeger.

Jeffrey Budkin

Jeffrey Budkin was Zeno Saturn's manager. Budkin knew that Zeno was actually Paul Emery. He knew that a gathering with Zeno's family could be dangerous, but he also knew that Zeno couldn't afford the negative publicity of refusing to attend. He felt that Zeno needed protection so he hired Power Man and Iron Fist to act as the pretender's bodyguards, thinking that they would tolerate any injustice if the price was right, but he was wrong.

Paul Emery

(Power Man and Iron Fist I#107 (fb)) - Paul Emery was not the original Zeno Saturn, the rock star. He was actually a stagehand who saw the accident which killed Mortimer Kreeger, the real Zeno Saturn. Zeno's death was kept secret and when the production proposed to Emery that he become Zeno Saturn, he accepted. He secretly underwent plastic surgery and was trained with all the necessary information to pose as Zeno Saturn. The fake succeeded, and Emery became Zeno Saturn for all the fans in the world, singing, showing off and collecting fame and success for the following year, but avoided any contact with Mort's family.

(Power Man and Iron Fist I#107 (fb) - BTS) - One day, a photo reporter managed to sneak into the dentist studio that Zeno was visiting, and took some pictures while he was under Novocaine. The photos were published on the front page of a tabloid and were seen by Kreeger's family. Victor, Mortimer's father, understood that the Zeno in the photo was not his son because of his son's allergy to the painkiller.

(Power Man and Iron Fist I#107) - When Zeno received the invitation from the Kreeger family to come home, he was afraid that they could discover his lies, so his manager hired Power Man and Iron Fist for Zeno's protection, believing that the two heroes would have done everything for money even if the truth was revealed. The three men then went to the celebration for Mort's 21st birthday. Zeno had been well-trained and recognized all the Kreegers, hiding his real identity. But Victor sent his android, the Hammer of Judgement, after the pretender. Zeno was twice saved from an ambush by Power Man and Iron Fist, but he was eventually kidnapped and carried up to the roof. He was saved again by Iron Fist, who destroyed the Hammer of Judgement android. Power Man, Iron Fist and Zeno sneaked into the underground corridors under the house. Zeno understood that the Kreegers were involved with the robot and asked the heroes to trash them all, but they refused. At home, another Hammer of Judgement assaulted Zeno, jumping out from the birthday cake. While Power Man restrained Iron Fist, the masked avenger's menacing advances made Zeno's facade crumble. He confessed everything to this new Hammer of Judgement, who revealed himself to be Victor Kreeger. Victor extracted his gun, but Emery managed to grab it and was ready to shoot everybody but Iron Fist disarmed him and knocked him down.
