History:

(New Warriors I#29 (fb) - BTS) - When Farnoq Dahn, a religious and political leader of Trans-Sabal died, his cousin Jalfaha nominated himself as heir to the throne. As the throne had never existed before, Dahn declared himself monarch, but General Halladah rebelled against Jalfaha's claim, took control of the Army and instituted martial law.

Several battles were fought between the pro-monarchist forces, the Army and the People's Armed Forces Front (P.A.F.F.).

(New Warriors I#29 (fb)) - During a battle against the PAFF, Halladah's soldiers and Mandroids were crushing the resistance, but the New Warriors intervened and destroyed the Mandroids, thereby stopping the battle.

Later, Halladah, leading the Trans-Sabalian Army in his Mandroid armor, was reaching some oil wells to be sure that they kept on burning. However, the Army was attacked by the Force of Nature and shortly after, the New Warriors attacked both parties. In the resulting chaos, Halladah's Mandroid was recognized by Aqueduct, who attacked him and short-circuited the armor using the coolant liquid of the suit. The Mandroid fell right above Aqueduct, entrapping him with its weight. Halladah managed to get out of the armor, recognized Araq Mezdbadah, one of the PAFF's leaders, and took his energy gun and selected the rebel as target.

(New Warriors I#30 (fb)) - Namorita saw him just in time and saved Mezdbadah. Aqueduct fired a burst of water and intentionally dehydrated Halladah, thereby killing the general.

(New Warriors I#30 (fb) - BTS) - After Halladah's death, a temporary ceasefire was held among the parties and the refineries' fires were put out.

Araq Mezdbadah with the New Warriors

Araq Mezdbadah

Araq Mezdbadah was a normal human trained in armed combat. He was one of the leaders of the People's Armed Forces Front (P.A.F.F.) of Trans-Sabal, the movement which tried to establish a democracy in the country. Although not Sabalian by birth, he led the P.A.F.F. against the tyrannical government of Jalfaha, Farnoq Dahn's cousin and heir of the religious throne, and against the separatist army of Halladah. However, he had gained external funding in an effort to secure new territory that was rich in oil.

The actions of the P.A.F.F. involved guerilla warfare, sabotage and open war. During one of the battles in an open field between the P.A.F.F. and Halladah's army, the forces of the Front had being severely crushed, mostly because of the presence of some Mandroids among their enemies. The New Warriors intervened to stop the massacre and defeated the Mandroids, so Mezdbadah thanked them, thinking that the heroes had come to help the P.A.F.F. The New Warriors, instead, were looking for the Force of Nature. Mezdbadah lent some of his men to assist the young heroes in change of their help against the Dahn monarchy and the Army.

Mezdbadah was with the Warriors when they saw the Trans-Sabalian Army in full-force attacked by the Force of Nature. Mezdbadah landed and went to help the New Warriors to defend the people who tried to put out the fires of the oil wells. In the chaos of the battle, he noticed that Halladah was pointing a gun at him and was saved by Namorita. He later led the revolutionary forces alongside the New Warriors and the Force of Nature to take over the palace and overthrow Jalfaha Dahn.

Jalfaha Dahn

Jalfaha Dahn

Jalfaha Dahn was a normal human, despite his self-declared right to be the heir to the throne of Trans-Sabal. When Farnoq Dahn, the self-declared religious and political leader of Trans-Sabal died, his cousin Jalfaha nominated himself as heir to the throne. However, the Army forces did not acknowledge his rights to a throne that had never existed before, and so rebelled against Jalfaha's claim. General Halladah took control of the Army and instituted martial law. The Jalfaha monarchist forces then had to fight against the Army as well as the P.A.F.F. He was soon overthrown by Mezdbadah's forces and almost killed by Firebrand but was saved by Nova. He revealed Mezdbadah's outside funding and territorial agenda to the New Warriors.
