(Daredevil II#95 (fb) - BTS) - Gus attended law school at night with several others, including Becky Blake.

(Daredevil II#96 (fb) - BTS) - Gus, who worked for district attorney Palmer, was assigned to the case of Melvin Potter.

(Daredevil II#99 (fb) - BTS) - Gus was manipulated by one of his night school teachers, Harold Cranston (secretly Larry Cranston, Mr. Fear), through fear gas, into asking Becky Blake for help in the Gladiator case.

(Daredevil II#95) - Gus met Becky and she invited him out for coffee. He confessed that he needed help for a case he was in way over his head on. Melvin Potter, the former Gladiator and one of Daredevil’s old enemies, was being wrongfully tried for two murders committed in prison of inmates Rahner and Peyer. Becky took the case, though later Foggy and Matt told her no.

(Daredevil II#96) - Gus, Becky, Matt Murdock, and Palmer watched through a window while Dr. Devereaux completed a psychiatric evaluation. She made the determination that he was lying and that he was faking being sick. Becky was outraged as was Gus, who was silenced by Palmer. Palmer indirectly accused Matt of being Daredevil and refused to let Potter free from Ryker’s. He offered the deal that Potter be given four counts of manslaughter one and be sentenced to fifteen years. Becky still wanted a hospital sentence instead, but Matt confirmed that Potter was lying.

(Daredevil II#97 (fb) - BTS) - Overcome with fear, Gus cut his own wrists in his bathtub and died.

(Daredevil II#97) - Daredevil found Gus’ body.
