GRASSHOPPER

Real Name: Unrevealed

Identity/Class: Human technology user

Occupation: Unrevealed

Group Membership: Roxxon Corporation (presumably)

Affiliations: Roxxon Corporation (employer (presumably) )

Enemies: Deadpool

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: "All-New Grasshopper" (as called by himself)

Base of Operations: New York City (presumably)

First Appearance: Deadpool/GLI Summer Fun Spectacular#1/5 (September, 2007)

Powers/Abilities: The Grasshopper armor was created to be Roxxon's answer to Iron Man, to give the company a super-powered employee. The suit's capabilities have not yet been fully defined, but it can amplify the wearer's strength and allow him to make leaps that cover great distances. The suit also features zoom lenses and "insectroid sensors" (function unknown).

History: (BTS) - The past history of Grasshopper is unknown, but he was presumably somehow affiliated with the Roxxon Corporation, and at some point he acquired the Grasshopper suit.

(Deadpool/GLI Summer Fun Spectacular#1/5) - When Deadpool had overstayed his welcome with the Great Lakes Initiative, he was forcibly ejected (i.e. kicked out (literally)) from their headquarters by Squirrel Girl. Just then, the new Grasshopper came leaping by to report for duty, and introduced himself to Deadpool. Quite irked by the events that had just transpired, Deadpool grabbed Grasshopper and twisted his head backwards, breaking his neck and killing him; Deadpool then walked off singing the lyrics to Bananarama's "Cruel Summer".

Comments: Created by Dan Slott and Keiron Dwyer.

And these three panels are all there was to this Grasshopper's appearance. I guess the Grasshopper suit was later recovered by Roxxon to be given to the next lucky guy...

This Grasshopper had the shortest appearance of any of the men who wore the Grasshopper suit -- I wonder if he's got some connection to Cindy Shelton?
