Powers/Abilities: As part of the ancient race of Oracles, Cryan is able to telepathically commune with others across time and space, read the thoughts of others, connect minds, and give off blasts of psychic energy. The extent of these abilities is unrevealed.

History:

(Excalibur I#70 (fb) - BTS) - One of the ancient Oracles, Cryan grew to hate the Shi'ar, who had overcome her race at some point.

(Excalibur I#69) - For unknown reasons, the elderly Cryan was arrested by the Shi'ar and sent to Krag, the deadly prison world. She was processed at the same time as Cerise, and they were teleported to the prison below, treated terribly by the alien guards. In the prison, under a planet's crust, they were beset by freezing ionic winds and huddled for warmth. A reptilian inmate attacked them, taunting them, and Cerise killed him with a kick to defend them.

(Excalibur I#70) - Cryan and Cerise were attacked by the feral Fang, who Cerise killed in self-defense again, not knowing she was being watched by her former allies, Excalibur (Kylun, Micromax, Nightcrawler, Phoenix) and the Starjammers (Ch'od, Corsair, Hepzibah, Raza), who had come pursuing Cerise. Cryan watched as they interacted and then prepared to battle the guards, but then found her mind taken over by Lilandra, who used Cryan's powers to talk to the others, then to read Cerise's thoughts and to learn the truth of her crimes. After discerning the truth and changing Cerise's sentence and abandoned Cryan's mind. The others all soon departed, presumably leaving Cryan behind.
