Powers/Abilities: Amy Mavity had no superhuman
abilities, but was a skilled reporter and newscaster.
History: (Avengers I#270) - When the public
first heard of the Sub-Mariner's induction into the Avengers, Amy Mavity
was stationed live outside the Fifth Avenue Avengers Mansion, reporting on
both the public support and outrage of Namor's membership. She first interviewed
a man with the Veterans of Foreign Wars, who praised Namor's alliance with
America during World War II, then followed with a man who angrily exclaimed
that Russia was America's ally then as well. The televison report went back
to Amy's co-anchor Brian, who told the television audience of Amy's status
and then returned the news back to Amy, who reported that the Avengers had
still not made an official statement on Namor's membership.
