WANDERER

Real Name: Unrevealed

Identity/Class: Human Technology User

Occupation: Government agent

Group Membership: An unnamed department of the U.S. government

Affiliations: (formerly) Night Terror

Enemies: Night Terror

Known Relatives: None

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Unknown

First Appearance: Ghost Rider III Annual#1/2 (1993)

Powers/Abilities: While Wanderer displayed no overt superhuman powers, Night Terror could tell by tasting his blood that he was more than human. He was also apparently able to survive being bitten by Night Terror, an act that usually meant death to normal humans.

History: (Ghost Rider III Annual#1/1 (fb)-BTS) – At some point in the past, the man known as Wanderer worked with Carl Blake, the man who would become known later as Night Terror. The two made a blood oath to protect each other like brothers.

(Ghost Rider III Annual#1/1 (fb)-BTS) – The organization known as the Next Wave invited Wanderer to join them.

(Ghost Rider III Annual#1/1) – With the now vampiric Night Terror targeting employees of the government agency he once worked for, Wanderer was ordered to find him and capture him alive. He located Night Terror attacking a quartet of off-duty agents, but not in time to save some of them. During their fight, the vampire bit Wanderer, drinking some of his blood, but Wanderer managed to tear away. Night Terror pressed his attack again, biting his former friend in the neck, apparently draining him. With some of his memories restored, Night Terror left Wanderer for dead, but unbeknownst to him, Wanderer survived.

Comments: Created by Howard Mackie, Isaac Cordova, and Bud LaRosa.

Another Mackie/Ghost Rider character that appeared once, only to slip right back into obscurity.

It should be noted that while Wanderer was considering the Next Wave’s offer to join them, he hadn’t accepted or declined.
