QUIN-JETTA

Classification: Terrestrial technology

Creator: Volkswagen

User/Possessors: GLA (Big Bertha, Dinah Soar, Doorman, Flatman, Mr. Immortal, Squirrel Girl)

First Appearance: GLA#1 (June, 2005)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Quin-Jetta appeared to be a standard Volkswagen Jetta Model GLI VR6 four door sedan (I'm no car expert, but it looks like one to me). The Quin-Jetta had personalized Wisconsin license plates --"GLA"-- along with the team's "GLA" logo painted on the sides. It was also equipped with a dashboard-mounted police scanner (which is probably illegal, but these guys are super-heroes).

History:
(GLA#1 (fb)) - After getting a phone call from Ashley (Big Bertha) Crawford regarding an attack by the Ani-Men at the Milwaukee Convention Center, the other GLA members drove to the scene in the Quin-Jetta.

(GLA#1) - While driving around in the Quin-Jetta on patrol, the GLA heard a police report of Maelstrom stealing a piece of equipment from the research lab at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and they drove to the scene.

(GLA#3) - The Quin-Jetta was parked in front of GLA HQ when Flatman gave new recruit Squirrel Girl a tour of the headquarters.

(GLA#3 - BTS) - Doorman, Flatman, and Squirrel Girl drove the Quin-Jetta to the University to question some faculty members about the equipment Maelstrom stole. Later, they drove to the regional offices of the Roxxon Energy Corporation to get information about a device that was stolen by Batroc's Brigade from Roxxon's New York plant.

(GLA#4) - Doorman, Flatman, and Squirrel Girl drove the Quin-Jetta back to GLA HQ to regroup with the other members. Later, the whole team drove the Quin-Jetta to the shore of Lake Michigan for a final battle with Maelstrom and Batroc's Brigade.

The Quin-Jetta was sucked into a dimensional vortex created by Maelstrom's doomsday machine and probably lost for good.

Comments: Created by Dan Slott and Paul Pelletier.

Since the GLA was forced to change their team name to the Great Lakes X-Men (GLX), they could replace the Quin-Jetta with a new model ...a Jetta GLX! (the GLX's GLX, get it?)
