History: (Giant-Size Defenders I#2) - Designed to be "America's first fully-automated soldier," the Mechanoid was equipped with missiles and lasers and controlled by a nearby command panel. When the Hulk began fighting with police in New York City, the National Guard deployed the Mechanoid against the Hulk. Controlled by a soldier, Tony, the Mechanoid attacked the Hulk with his armament, but the Hulk shrugged the attack off and crushed the Mechanoid with a series of punches.
