Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Groundhawk was able to burrow through the rocky ground using an energy blaster located on the front of the tank. It featured large tank treads that were able to travel over a rocky ground with ease. It also featured two sources of light on the front of the tank and was able to hover for a short while in the event that the ground beneath caved in.
History: (Avengers West Coast Annual#6/1) - After the Avengers encountered the former queen of Subterranea, Kala, who informed them of the Deviant Brutus' capture of the area, she begged them for help against the Deviant. The Avengers agreed to help and utilized Tony Stark's Groundhawk vehicle to travel underground, where they found Captain America and the Black Widow. Once the two heroes were inside, the Groundhawk continued its trek to the kingdom of Subterranea. When they neared its location, the ground beneath the Groundhawk caved in, but the Groundhawk was able to make a safe landing due to the hover jets located on the bottom of it. Following the defeat of Brutus and the Gor-Tokian Grotesk, the Avengers traveled back to the surface world in the Groundhawk.
