History: (New Thunderbolts#3 (fb)-BTS) - Taking upon themselves the name of At'La'Tique, an ancient Atlantean phrase meaning the 'Fury of the Sea,' the religious rebels followed various leaders, including Nagala, Shakkoth, and Tamara Rahn.  They formed a strike force called Fathom Five, which included Dragonrider, Llyron, Bloodtide, Sea Leopard, and Manowar.  At'La'Tique's primary religious beliefs involved wiping out life on the surface world.  To achieve this goal, they formed an alliance with Baron Strucker of HYDRA.

(New Thunderbolts#2 (fb)-BTS) - Fathom Five led attacks against the Persian Gulf and China.

(New Thunderbolts#1) - In an attempt to begin wiping out surface life, Fathom Five attacked New York City and engaged in rampant destruction while lashing out against whoever they came in contact with.  The Thunderbolts attacked and the two teams traded blows until Fathom Five retreated.

(New Thunderbolts#3) - Fathom Five opposed and defeated the small force Atlantis sent to deal with them.

(New Thunderbolts#4) - Fathom Five attacked New York, and one of Dragonrider's beasts destroyed the Brooklyn Bridge.

(New Thunderbolts#5) - Fathom Five did battle with, and was defeated by, Warbird and the New Thunderbolts.

(New Thunderbolts#6) - Radioactive Man tossed a defeated Llyron back to sea.

(New Thunderbolts#9 - BTS) - Most of Fathom Five, defeated, awaited their trial in a surface world prison.  Llyron was captured in Atlantis, but he'd been secretly infected by Radioactive Man with a self-perpetuating radioactive virus that contaminated the water around him with every breath.  Radioactive Man had intended this virus to wipe out At'La'Tique, but it infected Atlantis instead.  Tamara Rahn returned to Atlantis to investigate, and Radioactive Man corrected the virus.  He then infected Tamara Rahn with a different virus (to which only she would be immune) that would gestate until she returned to At'La'Tique and then began working on the population there.
