Powers/Abilities:  The Datavore was essentially a living probe. It could transmit, collect, and store data within itself, as well as convert any matter it ingested into fuel to keep it alive in other dimensions.

History:  (Fantastic Four III#60 (fb) - BTS) - Reed Richards bio-engineered the Datavore as a dimensional probe to gather information on the Leviaverse, making sure to engineer the Datavore in a way that whatever matter it ingested, it could convert into fuel.

 (Fantastic Four III#60) - When Mr. Shertzer came to meet the Fantastic Four as clients, they brought him along for a trip into the Leviaverse. The group almost slammed their craft into the Datavore as they came upon it inside the Leviaverse and Reed noticed that the creatures swarming around the Datavore were killing it. In order to save the research data contained within the Datavore, Mister Fantastic placed a device on the it to repel any further Leviote swarms and the Fantastic Four made their leave of the Leviaverse.
