History: (Mystery Tales #15) - An alien "student" from Centaurus arrived on Earth to "study" humans. It confronted Helen and Joe, who were terrified of it at first, but it convinced them that it meant no harm. To prove itself, it turned their mere wishes into reality, leaving them in the lap of luxury. It lived in their basement for a short time, and without its hosts knowing, ate any human that came around the house. After some time, it announced to the two that it was time for it to return to Centaurus, and left all the gifts it had made as payment for their hospitality. As it levitated into the sky towards its waiting spacecraft, the two humans remarked how they'd miss it, unaware of a massive pile of human remains in their basement and back yard.

Comments: Created by Jack Abel and ???.

By "study" I assume he meant "find out if we taste like chicken."

The Centauran has no known connections to

Helen and Joe

A married couple, the two found the Centauran in their home. It convinced them to let it stay by giving them riches. They were never aware of its murderous ways before it left Earth.
