History: (Super-Villain Team-Up I#13 (fb) - BTS) - While its origins are unknown, the Behemoth from Below likely spent ages sleeping beneath the sea.

(Super-Villain Team-Up I#13) - Warlord Krang, in an attempt to control Atlantis, blew the Proteus Horn and called forth a monster to attack the city. The Behemoth from Below attacked with a crushing blow destroying everything in sight, including the towers of Atlantis and any of its citizens and soldiers. Sub-Mariner attacked and was held tight in one of the Behemoth's fists before breaking free and swimming at break-neck speed around the Behemoth, forming a mighty vortex. The Behemoth was caught in the vortex and taken far from the city.

(Defenders I#54) - Awakened by a nuclear explosion, the Behemoth from Below watched a ship explode near Russia and grabbed the drowning form of Hellcat before being forced to let go by a punch from the Sub-Mariner.

(Defenders I#55) - The creature responded to a horn-blow on land by Nighthawk, and pursued the hero, attempting to maul him. The Hulk arrived and pounded the creature with several super-strong blows. The creature slowly toppled, nearly crushing other heroes beneath it. The radiation-emitting Presence discharged a powerful blast that obliterated the creature before it could crush him.
