Identity/Class: Human

Beast, Cutthroat, Jackie Dio, Moses Magnum, Peepers, Wolverine

Known Relatives: None

Base of Operations: The Cage

First Appearance: Wolverine II#164 (July, 2001)

Powers/Abilities: Aryan was skilled at hand-to-hand combat, and was ruthless in battle.

History: (Wolverine II#164) - When new inmate Wolverine happened to look Aryan's direction in the mess hall, Aryan and the Skulls went to their table and started arguing with him and Beast and Peepers. When one of the Skulls pushed Peepers's face into his food, Wolverine fought back. Axe, of the Brothers tried to use the chaos to kill Logan, but accidentally killed one of the Skulls, causing Aryan and the others to start a fight with the Brothers that had to be broken up by the guards.

(New Avengers Most Wanted Files - BTS) - Aryan was reported as having remained in prison since his initial capture.

(Underworld#1) - During a fight in the mess hall with Jackie Dio, Aryan was punched in the face and knocked to the floor. Dio demanded that the Aryan get him two new shirts to make up for the one he'd ruined and a carton of cigaretts to make up for ruining salisbury steak night. When one of the Skulls came after Jackie with a shiv, Jackie spun so that the shiv caught Aryan in the butt.

(Dark Wolverine#78 (fb) - BTS) - Aryan was hired (presumably by one of Osborn's underlings) to cause a riot at the Raft by assaulting Moses Magnum.

(Dark Wolverine#78) - The case went to court and Emmy Doolin, Cutthroat and Inquisitor broke out Magnum, who blew up the building with his seismic powers, killing 10 people in the process. Aryan wanted to join them, but Cutthroat, having no interest in letting scum like Aryan join their group, broke his neck.

Comments: Created by Frank Tieri, Sean Chen and Norm Rapmund.

Since Aryan did end up in a prison specifically for superhumans or those likely to be broken out by superhumans, I suspect the Red Skull may have actually employed him, rather than him just idolizing the Skull from afar. I'd even suggest it was possible that the Red Skull placed Aryan in the Cage as a means of recruiting prisoners to his team.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Aryan should not be confused with:

THE SKULLS

The Skulls were the gang headed up by Aryan. They worshipped the Red Skull as a messiah from inside the superhuman prison called the Cage. One day after Wolverine and Beast had been placed in the prison, the Skulls' leader Aryan picked a fight with the mutants. Axe of the Brothers took the opportunity to make an attempt on Logan's life, but killed one of the Skulls in the process, which started a brawl between the two groups, which was broken up by the guards. Later, one of the Skulls made an attempt to kill the Beast who was injured and being kept in the medical ward. The gang member was stopped by Peepers, who stabbed the Skull to death.

When Jackie Dio threatened Aryan after a fight in the mess hall, one of the Skulls tried to stab him. Jackie, however, saw the attack coming and spun to put Aryan in the path of the shiv, making the Skull stab Aryan in his butt.
