History:

(Marvel Holiday Special 1994/4 (fb) - BTS) - Since immemorial times Mud Pi lived beneath the earth in Wash Basin, Texas. In recent centuries the noise caused by humanity became unbearable. One day he decided to get some quiet again by flushing humanity down his Bowl of Death. He rose from the earth, absorbed water and dirt to grow and brought all citizens of Wash Basin, Texas down into his caves.

(Marvel Holiday Special 1994/4) - Mud Pi returned to the surface when he heard Griffin Gogol, who should've had a gig in Wash Basin, jabbering at a phone. He attacked Gogol when he tried to fly away as Captain Ultra and pulled him down into the caves beneath the city. When Ultra woke up again Mud Pi introduced himself and explained his plan to the hero, but Ultra didn't attack him like Mud Pi expected at first. But Ultra soon became angry when Mud Pi showed him the citizens of Wash Basin that would first be disposed of because they were Ultra's audience as Griffin Gogol. Ultra attacked Mud Pi, but he got rid of him with one punch that threw Ultra right to the Wash Basin residents. Ultra attacked him again and Mud Pi fell apart, but Ultra knew that he could reform himself and used the clothes of all Wash Basin residents to absorb the water from Mud Pi's body. The demon shrunk to his original size and Captain Ultra pushed him into the Bowl of Death. Mud Pi was flushed down and Wash Basin's citizens celebrated their new hero "Wonder Man" (they confused Captain Ultra with Wonder Man).

Comments: Created by Scott Lobdell & Dennis Jensen.

He seemed to be one of those many earthly demons living in the United States, but it was never stated what he really was. He could also be extra-dimensional and the Bowl of Death could've been a "portal" to another realm (certainly a very dirty place). Who cares? He went down the crapper and won't be seen again! (I hope the Wash Basin citizens washed their hands after this toilet adventure)

CLARIFICATIONS:
Mud Pi has no known connection to:

Bowl of Death

It was Mud Pi's device to get rid of everything that annoyed him. It was hidden deep down in the grounds beneath Wash Basin, Texas and Mud Pi could summon it from there anytime he wanted to. It had the form of a giant toilet and the dirty water in it existed within an unending swirl that could pull down everything that fell into it.
