(Marvel Comics Presents I#26/4 (fb) - BTS) - One day Jonas Marlin lost 100,000 dollars in Michael Berengetti's casino in Las Vegas and couldn't even pay the debt. Marlin returned to his sea park and tried to collect the money to pay Berengetti.

(Marvel Comics Presents I#26/4) - Joe Fixit visited Jonas Marlin at Marlinworld to collect the money, but Marlin only had 50,000 dollars. He offered Fixit a quarter or half interest in Marlinworld for Berengetti, but Fixit didn't know why the park should be of interest for Berengetti. Marlin showed Fixit around in the park, but the sharks were more afraid of Fixit than he was of them and the many guests didn't impress Fixit either. Marlin showed Fixit his main attraction Shandu the killer whale, but Fixit was bored by the show until the whale attacked his trainer. Marlin told him that this wasn't part of the show. Hulk saved some kids from Shandu and Marlin wanted the killer whale to be gone because nobody would visit his park anymore if there was a berserk whale in it. He offered Fixit a lot of money and Fixit left with the whale and told Marlin to get the money together.

Shandu the killer whale has no known connection to:

Shandu was Marlinworld's main attraction. The children loved to sit near the whale's splash area and everybody loved the show. The day Joe Fixit visited the park Shandu's show went awry when the whale suddenly killed his trainer. Shandu then jumped out of his pool and Fixit saved some children from the whale before knocking him out by whacking him against the pool. By Marlin's request Fixit took the whale with him and dropped it right onto the Atlantean vessel that made Shandu go berserk through a machine.
