(Tomb of Dracula II#3/2) <1447> - Vlad the Elder and his eldest son, Mircea, were murdered by followers of John Hunyadi, the foremost crusader against the Turks of that age.
(Giant-Size Chillers#1 (fb) / Tomb of Dracula II#3/2 / Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#13: Lilith (fb) - BTS) <Sometime between 1451 and 1456> - Many years after Vlad the Elder made the arrangement, Vlad Dracula fulfilled the obligation from his late father (see comments), marrying Zofia, whom he hated.
(Giant-Size Chillers#1 (fb)) - While riding horseback alongside Vlad through the Borgo pass toward their Transylvanian castle, Zofia asked why Vlad why he had joined her because he hated her so much. Vlad corrected her, noting that he despised being with her and that hatred was too passive of a word to describe his feelings for her.
Striking Zofia in the face hard enough to knock her off her horse, Vlad continued that she was a weak fool, hardly a suitable mate for a Transylvanian prince. "If my father had not forced me into this ludicrous marriage, I would not deign to look at you. Your mewling ways revolt me." Getting off his own horse and pulling her hair, Dracula further taunted her, "But, this is only a marriage of state and convenience. It is not one of love. For that, I look elsewhere."

Zofia begged him "Not again. Ask anything of me. Anything but that." Clarifying that he asked for nothing but rather demanded it, Vlad struck Zofia across the face as he told her that while she was his wife in name only, she would still obey him. Zofia then accompanied Vlad out to the terrace, where he told her to lift the child high so she could see the Dracul legacy, as Lilith must never forget why he was called Vlad the Impaler.

and ate well.
(Giant-Size Chillers#1 (fb) / Tomb of Dracula II#3/2 / Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Horror 2005: Dracula) - One year after their marriage, his obligation fulfilled, Vlad considered that he hatred Zofia, "that simpering she-fool," with all his heart. He then struck her across the face, telling her that with his father dead, he no longer had to keep her. He ordered her to leave by nightfall or he would have her impaled.
He further instructed Zofia to take Lilith, "this whimpering child," with her. Zofia argued that Lilith was their daughter, part of both of them, but Vlad insisted that the child was no more his than was the love that he feigned for her over the last year. Telling Zofia he despised her, he ordered her never to return; Zofia accepted this and assured Vlad he would never see either of them again.
(Tomb of Dracula II#5/2 (fb) - BTS) - Vlad stripped Zofia of her royal standing, and he told Zofia that she and Lilith would live out the rest of their lives in as penniless peasants.
(Tomb of Dracula II#5/2 (fb) - BTS) - With no other place to go, Zofia fled to a nearby Gypsy camp and sought out the wizened elder Gretchin.
(Giant-Size Chillers#1 (fb)) - Zofia gave Lilith to Gretchin, paying her in gold to care for her, and asking her to to please never let Lilith come to harm. Knowing Zofia had been Dracula's wife and telling her she could feel the sorrow that grew in her heart, Gretchin promised to do so...

Zofia vowed that in death she would defy Dracula's wishes that
she live in humiliating poverty. 
(Giant-Size Chillers#1 (fb)) - Correcting Gretchin that the sorrow was not growing but rather ending, Zofia noted that her husband had stripped her of everything decent and that now she could only die.
Bidding Lilith goodbye and telling her that she had always loved her, Zofia then plunged a dagger into her heart and died.
(Tomb of Dracula I#60 - BTS) - Distraught by the seeming death of his son Janus, Dracula recalled his confrontation with Zofia during their ride through the Borgo Pass.
(Tomb of Dracula II#5/2 (fb) - BTS) - Lilith considered her mother's suicide in defiance of Dracula's wishes that the live in poverty, noting that in that moment she possessed more dignity and bearing than her aristocratic father could know in countless lifetimes.

We don't know exactly when Dracula married Zofia. As specified in Tomb of Dracula II#3/2 (Bloodline: A Probable Outline of the Career of Count Vlad Dracula) and reiterated in the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe I#13: Dracula and Lilith entries, it was between 1451 and 1456. Notably, it was following Dracula's return to Transylvania in 1451 and throwing himself on the mercy of John Hunyadi; and it was before Dracula regained his throne and went to war with the Turks in 1456.
Dracula and Zofia were married for a year (as noted in her first appearance in Giant-Size Chillers#1) -- perhaps exactly one year, as he needed to fulfill some obligation (which was noted as fulfilled by this single year in Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Horror 2005: Dracula)-- and then he cast Zofia out.
Lilith looked to be perhaps 5-10 years old when Gretchin transformed her (and it is not 100% certain that Gretchin transformed Lilith right away, although it seems that way from the way it was told). Tomb of Dracula II#5 described Dracula murdering Arni as "several years later" from Zofia's death (it was obviously after Dracula was transformed into a vampire in 1459). Regardless, I would think that Gretchin adopted Lilith around 1452-1454.
