Powers/Abilities: Zeppelin possessed superhuman strength and durability that allowed him to survive a massive explosion. Despite his advanced age he retained his young appearance due to a slowed aging process. He could create heat and use it to create a shield around his body before releasing it in an explosive blast in all directions or by directing the heat to engulf his fists in plasma before discharging it in a concentrated blast or by merely punching opponents with his plasma-engulfed fists. These heat attacks could set opponents aflame instantly and destroy their equipment.

History:
(Man of War#6/1 (fb) - BTS) - During World War II Zeppelin worked as a
costumed operative with supranormal abilities as part of the Third
Reich's Schutzstaffel against the likes of the Rocket Ranger (Tom Cory).
(Man of War#6/1 (fb)) - During one encounter in the United States Zeppelin had damaged Rocket Ranger's equipment to disable his flight capability, but instead of killing Rocket Ranger decided to finish his mission. Zeppelin took off on his German rocket ship to fly it into the center of New York City, but it detonated in midair and Zeppelin seemingly perished in the explosion.
(Man of War#6/1 (fb) - BTS) - Zeppelin's body was never recovered and he had actually survived the explosion. Decades later the elderly Tom Cory, who was living at a nursing home at the time, received a threatening letter from Zeppelin. Tom showed the letter to his grandson Roger and gave him the key to the sub-basement where the Rocket Ranger gear was stored so that Roger could save him from Zeppelin.
(Man of War#6/1 - BTS) - Zeppelin sent two armed agents after Roger Cory to steal the Rocket Ranger gear, but Roger escaped from them to the sub-basement and then easily defeated them after donning the Rocket Ranger gear.
(Man of War#7) - Zeppelin still got his revenge when he reached Tom Cory before Rocket Ranger (Roger Cory) and his new ally Man of War. In front of the two American heroes Zeppelin tossed Tom from the rooftop of the nursing home to his death.
(Man of War#8) - Zeppelin easily swatted away younger Rocket Ranger and set his body aflame with his supranormal powers. Zeppelin already celebrated another victory for the Third Reich, but was then attacked by Man of War, who was taken down with another energy blast and kick to the head. Rocket Ranger returned to aid Man of War against the supranormal Nazi, who retreated because he had already gotten his revenge on the original Rocket Ranger. He promised Man of War and the new Rocket Ranger that the whole country would soon kneel before him like Man of War that day.
(Man of War#8 - BTS) - Zeppelin and a number of his agents materialized inside the White House and took President O'Brien captive, forcing all security forces to surrender immediately. The F.B.I. knew that the terrorists held O'Brien captive in one of the back rooms, but had no way to get inside without endangering the president's life. Arc of the Protectors lured as many of Zeppelin's agents to the front while Ferret took out the rest inside the building even though F.B.I.'s Agent Dekker didn't want Ferret to get involved.
(Man of War#8) - Ferret was on his way to President O'Brien after knocking out two terrorists, but Zeppelin knocked him out with a punch and an energy blast. Before Zeppelin could kill Ferret, Man of War, disguised as the Rocket Ranger, flew through the wall and attacked the Nazi. Zeppelin blasted him with enough heat to destroy the Rocket Ranger gear only to realize too late that it was actually Man of War under the guise. The surprised Zeppelin was defeated by Man of War and President O'Brien was saved. Zeppelin was taken away by the authorities in special shackles to dampen his powers.

On Earth-1136 superhumans were called supranormals. How he got his powers remains unrevealed, but he was likely the result of experiments by scientists of the Third Reich to create supranormal operatives.
