Powers/Abilities: Zantor was a scientist who designed a passageway from his undersea cavern to the realm of the Faceless Ones. Called the "Dome of Doom," it was a metallic chamber that he would bathe in "living light" then descend below into the Faceless Ones' realm. Zantor wore protective eyewear to shield him from the living light.

History:
(Tales to Astonish I#72 (fb) - BTS) - Zantor was a subordinate to
Warlord Krang of Atlantis. He was stationed in an undersea cave north
of Atlantis above the realm where the Faceless Ones dwelled. Krang
would send his enemies to Zantor so that Zantor could banish them to
the Faceless Ones' realm, where they would be certain to be killed.
(Tales to Astonish I#72) - Warlord Krang sent Lady Dorma in a plasti-cage to Zantor's cave so he could dispose of her. Zantor considered Dorma to be the "fairest" of all the victims he had sent to the Faceless Ones. Activating a device called the Dome of Doom, he bathed Dorma in "living light" then lowered Dorma from his cavern into the realm below inside of the dome. The Dome of Doom shattered when it reached the depths where the Faceless Ones dwelled.
