Powers/Abilities: Having the appearance of a giant scarecrow, Wikka curries human sacrifices (three people/victims per year) whom he then buries in a field.

    The "seed" he planted sprouted at sunrise, and their life essences/energy became Wikka's strength, and he shared the energy, granting the town of his subjects a full year of good fortune and prosperity.

    Imbued with life energy, he grows to monstrous size and is physically stronger. He can also use such energy to start and steer an automobile.

    Additionally, Wikka can reanimate these buried corpses to serve his needs, such as stopping someone from following Wikka.

History:
(St. George#5 (fb) - BTS) - Wikka watched over the region and people of what would become Millers Creek before the United States of America existed (at least before 1776 A.D.).

    Wikka knew of the Order of St. George and its mission against the Dragon (who would become known in modern years as Dr. Zero). He also was aware of Father Abbot and his manipulations.

(St. George#5 (fb) - BTS) <Somewhere between November 15 - December 22, 1864 A.D.> - Wikka protected the town from General Sherman's march.

    At some point, Wikka entered a long sleep.

(St. George#5 (fb) - BTS) - Following a series of economic misfortunes, a fire in the fields burnt the harvest, which seemed to be Miller Creek's final straw. Three people vanished in the fire, and when the sheriff and others searched for them the next day, they instead found Wikka, who came back out of his long sleep and seemed to be growing out the dark, most earth in the hollow space down below.

(St. George#5 (fb)) - Wikka told them that their town didn't have to die, and he instead promised luck and good times to come. In exchange, Wikka demanded three human sacrifices over a three-day period around October 31st (Halloween), and the townspeople agreed.

(St. George#5 (fb) - BTS) - Each year, they knocked on the door of the house on the edge of the fields when they had their sacrifice, saying, "Trick or treat?"

    Eventually, Reverend McCarthy was maddened by this deal they had made.

St. George#5 - BTS) - Possibly driven by Michael's armor, a horse in a nearby stable kicked a lantern into the surrounding dry ground, and a fire spread into the cornfield, rapidly destroying the reanimate corpses. However, the flames also greatly heated Michael's armor, searing his flesh beneath it. Eventually, the same horse (apparently) rushed by Michael, and he was able to grab the girth or some other strap holding on a blanket, causing the horse to pull him out of the fire. Firetrucks subsequently arrived and put out the fire. After Devlin removed the armor and it cooled off, he put it back on, healing his burns.

    Patty informed Michael that the "town drunk" had actually been the town pastor, driven mad by the deal struck with Wikka. Patty subsequently met with McCarthy, who explained how the deal with Wikka had originated.

    Meanwhile Michael attended the town's annual Halloween Festival, during which Wikka -- now perhaps 25-30' tall from the energies it had derived from Lee -- appeared, and Sheriff Grivett revealed that Sissy and J.D. were the next to be sacrificed. As the townspeople grabbed Sissy, Michael pursued Wikka, who energized a truck to race toward him. Narrowly dodging, Michael lost track of Wikka, but Patty told him that she had learned from Rev. McCarthy where Wikka was headed.

    Blowing up Grivett's car when he tried to stop him, Michael broke into the house by the edge of the field and confronted Wikka, who explained the energy exchange and the deal. When Michael demanded to know where the Cutters were, Wikka mockingly told him that they were somewhere in the 250 acres of the field and that he could search for them if it pleased him.

    Using his armor as a divining rod, however, Michael located the site in which the Cutters were buried, and, using his helmet, he dug through the ground and found them buried underneath that hollowed region.

    Wikka confronted and struck Michael to prevent him from depriving him of his power. Separated from his helmet, Michael could not access his armor's power and struggled futilely against Wikka, who reviewed his history of saving this town's people and told Michael to leave him and return to the mission that drove his order.

    When Devlin asked "What mission?" Wikka hinted -- while holding Devlin high in the air -- that Abbot was manipulating him. Ultimately, Devlin used his staff to skewer Wikka and leave him suspended on the staff which impaled him while he freed the Cutters.

    As his power faded, Wikka lamented that he thought Michael could see that he had only wanted to help the people, and he quoted from "one of your saints": "It is in the giving that we receive...and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life." He asked Michael if he (Wikka) would be so lucky and if that would be his good fortune.

    Wikka apparently perished thereafter, the people of Millers Creek were left to make their own course.
