Powers/Abilities: The Venom symbiote is an
amorphous alien who bonds with living hosts, gaining access to their
memories and genetic makeup and maintaining them ever after detaching
from the host. Venom grants its hosts a variety of abilities, including
superhuman strength, organic tendrils and limited shapeshifting.
Venom was able to overtake and
bond with an
alien facehugger already attached to a human and remove it without
killing the host, something thought to be impossible. Later, Venom
bonded with a growing chestburster and incorporated Xenomorph DNA into
itself, becoming even bigger and stronger than the Xenomorph Queen with
mutant genes.

History: (Aliens vs. Avengers#2 (fb) - BTS) - Decades in the future, Earth was attacked by alien Xenomorphs, which razed the planet. Three years and nine months after the initial contact, Venom's host, Miles Morales, was among the last surviving Avengers in the last human city on Earth. Venom resided on the outside of his costume, creating the signature black-and-red webbed look on top of the white suit.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#1) - While patrolling the ruins
outside the safety parameter, Spider-Man was called upon to aid Valeria
Richards, who was returning from a dangerous excursion. Together with
the Hulk, Morales rescued Valeria from pursuit and returned to the base
with the Xenomorph egg that she had stolen. Valeria had planned to
create a
virus that would kill the eggs before the chestburster already growing
inside would kill her, but she ran out of time. Miles and Carol rushed
towards the breach in her lab, where Valeria lay dead and the Hulk had
killed the Xenomorph that spawned from her. The facehugger that hatched
from the stolen egg jumped onto Miles and attached to his face,
something the others knew to be 100% fatal.
However, to everyone's surprise, Venom bonded with the facehugger, detaching it from Morales safely. After commenting that the facehugger body was not ideal but temporarily suitable, Venom settled back on Spider-Man's chest in its new body.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#2) - Tony Stark announced to the surviving Avengers that he was ready to launch his colony evacuation ship and take the last 1,400 surviving humans off-world. Venom warned Miles to be careful, as it did not fully trust Stark in this. Tony asked Miles to check on the people who were boarding, and Venom asked to look for food only to be told to shut up. Moments before the launch, Banner leapt off the ship to aid Captain America, who had arrived too late to get onboard.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#3) - The ship made its way to Mars and landed to seek the help from the mutant inhabitants of the terraformed world in replacing the damaged expansion engines. Stark, Morales and Danvers ventured into Port Prometheus and found it empty except for Minister Sinister, who had taken the side of Xenomorphs as the perfect instrument of the evolution. The trio were swarmed, and when Stark got in trouble, Spider-Man went after him despite Carol's protests. Meanwhile, Sinister attacked their ship, which exploded shortly after.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#4 (fb)) - Stark detected Manifold's signature and deduced that Carol had gotten away. Before they could follow, Stark was stabbed through a chest by a Xenomorph tail. Morales rushed to Stark who, aware that he was not going to make it, asked if he knew what needed to be done. Miles was confused, but Tony was not talking to him but rather to Venom. Venom confirmed that it knew the task, and Tony ordered the symbiote to do it. Venom then detached itself from Spider-Man and attached the facehugger to Tony's dying body.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#4 (fb) - BTS) - Venom bonded with the chestburster growing inside Stark's body and emerged from it as a stronger symbiote carrying Xenomorph genes.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#4) - The next day Spider-Man and Venom, now in a larger body with Xenomorph features, went towards the side of a battle between a horde of Xenomorphs and the last surviving mutants - Wolverine, White Queen and Manifold, along with King T'Challa of Wakanda and his son Azari. The Xenomorphs were led by a red Xenomorph Queen with mutant genes -- the product of Sinister's own hybridization with the aliens -- that proved immune even to the attacks that wiped out conventional Xenomorphs.
Venom went to deal with the Sinister Queen, tackling her before she could get a drop on T'Challa. Venom bit into the Queen, but she teleported behind Venom with Nightcrawler's characteristic "bamf" and stabbed the symbiote through its chest. Venom then turned liquid and forced itself inside the Sinister Queen's mouth, exploding her from the inside. It gave a triumphant roar, and the other Xenomorphs who witnessed it turned tails and ran away, which Emma Frost noted to indicate that they were recognizing Venom as the alpha of the species.
(Aliens vs. Avengers#4 - BTS) - Venom and surviving humans and mutants joined the Wakandans on their two remaining spaceships and traveled towards the wormhole from which the Xenomorphs and their masters had emerged into this universe from their reality-52242.
T'Challa gave a speech on how their entire universe was left broken and barren, devastated not just by Xenomorphs, but also by Engineers who sought to erase all other life in the universe. The surviving heroes then listened to the recorded message from Tony Stark, who urged them to continue the fight against the foes of all life, in other universes if necessary.
Comments: Created by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic.The alien Xenomorphs in the story are notably more powerful than their counterparts from Alien films and other media, being able to destroy not just the superhuman societies of Earth but all major intergalactic civilizations. Magic was said to be ineffective against them, and their corrosive blood was harmful even to the usually nigh-invulnerable Hulk. The reality-52242 these specific Xenomorphs come from is also distinct from all other Alien media, as the Xenomorphs were said to have eradicated all organic life in that universe.
This profile was completed on 10/20/2025,
but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th
anniversary's celebratory event to represent Aliens.
