History:

(Marines in Action I#3) - Tow-Yun was the champion of Major Fu. When the major captured Rock Murdock and Scuttlebutt Stacey of the U.S. Marines, he offered to release them if Rock Murdock could best his champion in combat; it was only after they agreed that the major introduced them to Tow-Yun, who towered over them.

    Rock Murdock attacked Tow-Yun first, ramming his helmet-covered head into Tow-Yun's stomach, then delivering an uppercut to Tow-Yun's jaw. This staggered Tow-Yun, who fell backwards, but Tow-Yun grabbed a tree trunk and grabbed it, wielding it as a club while he vowed to show Rock Murdock why he was called "the Destroyer."

    Tow-Yun backed Rock Murdock up to the edge of a nearby cliff, but Rock scooped a handful of mud into his hands then flung it into Tow-Yun's eyes. When Tow-Yun dropped his makeshift club, Rock grabbed it struck him in the head with it, then dlievered a series of blows to Tow-Yun's stomach and jaw. Tow-Yun was beaten and Rock insisted he be allowed to leave, as the major had promised. However, Major Fu reneged on his word, intending to keep them as his prisoners. However, Tow-Yun suddenly kicked Rock and Scuttlebutt, knocking them both over the edge of the cliff; however, Rock and Scuttlebutt survived the fall.

Tow-Yun should not be confused with:

MAJOR FU

Major Fu was Tow-Yun's superior officer. He was responsible for operating a rocket launch site. When Major Fu captured Rock Murdock and Scuttlebutt Stacey of the U.S. Marines, he pit Rock against Tow-Yun in a fight, claiming if Rock prevailed both men would be released. Rock won, but Major Fu refused to honor his word. Tow-Yun kicked Rock and Scuttlebutt over a cliff but they survived the fall and later sabotaged Major Fu's rocket, commandeering it into a makeshift vehicle to transport them back to their own lines.
