History:

(Nellie the Nurse Comics#15/9 (fb) - BTS) - The bodybuilder who came to be known as Titan cultivated a small reputation with his muscular and well-trained physique. However, one day he cut himself with a rusty razor while shaving his face. As a result, his entire head was bandaged and he was taken to Harkins General Hospital for recovery.

(Nellie the Nurse Comics#15/9) - Dr. Snazzy Wilks and the on-duty paramedic Speedy marveled at the exposed physique of the new patient as he was wheeled in on a hospital gurney. Nurse Nellie Nelson, her friend Nurse Mary Lou Manners and vindictive rival Nurse Palmer Lang were all drawn to the bare-chested patient, and fell over each other trying to gain seemingly  innocuous looks at Titan's impressive physique. Wilks checked Titan's heart, but Titan was already confident that he was fine. Meanwhile, the three nurses competed to be the one assigned to care for him; ultimately Palmer won. At the discharge, she invited Titan to accompany her to a dance ball and the bodybuilder agreed, although she still had not seen Titan's face. Both Nellie and Mary Lou were indignant that they had missed out on a date, but Wilks laughed when he saw Titan's face once the full bandage had been removed. Wilks kept it a secret until Titan appeared at the formal ball with the mildly embarrassed Palmer. Both Nellie and Mary Lou were suddenly disinterested once they saw Titan's unattractive face, despite his impressive upper body musculature.
