History:
(Marvel Unleashed I#2 (fb) - BTS) - The demon Blackheart built a Hell-like dimension known to house a large demonic army that he recruited over a long period of time in the event that he should ever again need to rebel against his father, Mephisto. Despite it not being directly linked with Mephisto's Hell realm, Blackheart dubbed the secret dimension the Tenth Circle, the circle even the devil did not know about. Later working with AIM scientist Myron Darkwater on Earth to free himself from his extradimensional prison, the demon Blackheart provided Darkwater with the location of the Tenth Circle so that he might bring his army to Earth.

(Marvel Unleashed I#2) - After being transported to Earth from his extradimensional prison by Myron Darkwater's dimensional portal machine powered by the Inhuman Lockjaw, the demon Blackheart asked Darkwater if he was able to locate the Tenth Circle, as he wished to immediately unleash his army upon Earth. and a nervous Darkwater replied in the affirmative, noting that it was a bit difficult to find. Blackheart explained that the difficulty locating the Tenth Circle was due to its clandestine nature and revealed to Darkwater the Tenth Circle's origins and purpose before ordering Darkwater to open a portal to the Tenth Circle. A short time later, Blackheart found himself battling a group of heroic animals and during the battle against Throg the Thunder Frog, Blackheart used a piece of Myron Darkwater's dimensional portal machine to banish Throg's hammer, causing the unstable machine to explode, stranding Darkwater and the heroic animals in the Tenth Circle, where Blackheart immediately began rallying his demonic army.

(Marvel Unleashed I#3) - While still stranded in the Tenth Circle, Darkwater explained to the animals how they had become separated from Blackheart and how the Inhuman Lockjaw seemed to have been captured by Blackheart. As Darkwater and the animals worked on a plan to rescue Lockjaw and transport themselves back to Earth, Blackheart dragged the still-sedated Lockjaw to his Tenth Circle fortress and ordered his soldiers to search the southern area of the realm for Darkwater and the animals. The soldiers soon located Darkwater and the animals and a battle ensued between the animals and Blackheart's soldiers, during which Darkwater was captured. Following the defeat of the rest of the small band of Blackheart's soldiers, the animals continued on the trek through the Tenth Circle to Blackheart's fortress, where they hoped to rescue both Lockjaw and Myron Darkwater. When the arriving animals stormed the fortress, they were immediately held in place by Blackheart, who ordered Darkwater to open a portal to Earth.

(Marvel Unleashed I#4) - Before Blackheart's army could enter the portal, Throg managed to free himself and the assembled animals held Blackheart's army within the Tenth Circle until Lockjaw reawakened and transported Blackheart to face Inhuman leader Black Bolt. Lockjaw then returned to the Tenth Circle to ensure Myron Darkwater and the animals were returned home to Earth, only to find that the dog D-Dog had perished in the battle.
