History:
(Black Axe#2 (fb) - BTS) - The Tamayoshi family had a
long history of excellence in the art of sword-making. They had a
friendly relationship with the the millennia-old warrior Black Axe.
Meanwhile, the criminal Hand organization coveted legendary magical
sword Kusanagi-No-Tsurguri (also known as Grasscutter) forged by the
Tamayoshi clan.
(Black Axe#2) - Kaori Tamayoshi tried deflecting Hand Jonin (high captain) Sama demands by saying the sword was merely a legend. Sama ordered fearsome superhuman Hand assassin Kage to assault her. However, Black Axe, coincidentally in Japan to refocus himself and his skills, was suspicious about nearby Hand warriors and followed them. Black Axe led Kage away from Kaori by engaging the assassin in an intense fight. Sama backed Kage with Mandroid armor. Kaori took a nearby sword and intended to strike Kage as he faced Black Axe, but Kage smacked her aside. The fighting intensified at the Meji Shrine and Black Axe sought to flee to protect Kaori. Sunfire also arrived to safeguard Kaori. Japan's Counterforce police strike team arrived and the Hand warriors chose suicide over capture, vanishing into ashen smoke.
