Powers/Abilities: Spotty has the paranormal ability to generate a hypnotic illusion of himself. In his illusionary form, Spotty seems to stand almost three stories high. Being an illusion, Spotty's larger form cannot be harmed, giving the impression that he's impossible to injure.

History:

(Star Brand I#18 (fb) - BTS) - Spotty developed paranormal abilities and an altered physical appearance sometime following the White Event, a brilliant flash of light which had been caused by the Star Brand on July 22, 1986. At some point Spotty befriended a fellow paranormal called Pinhead and the two of them began mugging people in Manhattan.

(Star Brand I#18) - One day in late 1988, Pinhead and Spotty were mugging a woman in an alley when they were confronted by Stephanie Harrington, also a paranormal. Stephanie attacked Spotty, kicking him in the jaw, then easily bested Pinhead. Spotty cast his illusionary form in an attempt to frighten Stephanie. Stephanie summoned her superhumanly strong friend Dave Landers to assist her. Dave tried to punch Spotty, but as he was fighting with his illusion he had no effect. Dave was joined by Jenny Swensen and both of them tried to use their strength against Spotty, to no end. However, Jacob Burnley, present wielder of the Star Brand appeared and saw through Spotty's illusion, then forced him to surrender.
