Powers/Abilities: Sideburn is a living planet with the mutant power to seemingly endlessly regenerate his lost biomass.

Weight: Unrevealed (approximately 7x10²³ kg.)

Hair: Reddish-brown

History: (Galacta: Daughter of Galactus#1) - Sideburn the Regenerating Planet was created by Galactus' daughter Galacta, who used her Power Cosmic to encode its cells with the X-gene of the mutant Wolverine. The resulting endlessly regenerating planet-size mass of flesh was capable of sustaining the hunger of Galacta and her father for at least one trillion years, eliminating the need to devour worlds with thriving biospheres.

(Galacta: Daughter of Galactus#1 - BTS) - This reality was glimpsed in her imagination by Galacta of reality-610102, whose Cosmic Awareness quickly informed her that scaling X-gene's metafunction to the size of celestial bodies was not viable and would entirely unravel the fabric of reality.

   Galacta notes that the X-gene, implanted in humanity's ancestors by the Celestials, has reality-deformation math encoded in it. This would make all the vastly different mutant powers subsets of a single power to warp reality manifesting itself in different ways. While Galacta's Cosmic Awareness leaves no doubt to the accuracy of her claim, it is only confirmed to be the case within her native reality-610102, explaining how Sideburn the Regenerating Planet could exist in reality-10711 without destroying it.

   This profile was completed 03/13/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25^th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent Galacta.
