RICOCHET MOBILE
Classification: Terrestrial technology
Creator: Ricochet
(Johnny Gallo)
User/Possessors: Ricochet
(Johnny Gallo)
First Appearance: Slingers I#8 (July, 1999)
Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Ricochet Mobile was a four-wheeled vehicle with an engine approximately as powerful as the average golf cart. Hornet's jet-pack was attached to the rear of the vehicle to grant it additional propulsion. Twin launchers fastened above the rear tires of the vehicle could rapidly fire stun discs at enemies. Twin headlights supplied nighttime visibility. A flag provided kid appeal.
History:
(Slingers I#8) - After seeing his friend Hornet in the clutches of the
sewer-dwelling creature Griz,
Ricochet began designing the Ricochet Mobile in his garage, building
upon a golf cart and using welding material, tape and paint to refit it
into a combat vehicle with mounted stun disc launchers. He included a
flag with his logo on it because "kids need something to look at." He
also attached Hornet's jet-pack to the back of the vehicle to increase
its speed.
When Ricochet's friend Dusk teleported back to the garage, he insisted she teleport him aboard the Ricochet Mobile back to the sewers to rescue Hornet. Ricochet used the vehicle's stun discs to drive off Griz's rats then drove the vehicle directly into Griz, knocking him over a scaffold and into a sewer treatment tank. Ricochet grabbed Hornet's jet-pack off the Ricochet Mobile as it went over the scaffold with Griz, disappearing into the water below.
Hornet asked "What was that about?" and Ricochet explained "That was, the, um, the Ricochet Mobile. ... You didn't like it?" Hornet answered "We... we'll talk, Rico. We'll talk."
