Powers/Abilities: While not demonstrating any particularly advanced abilities, Maureen was athletic enough to run with a perhaps 6 year old in one arm and a toddler on her back. She did all this while wearing high-heeled boots...not the best choice, but she presumably did not have time to choose her wardrobe.

She could also maintain her composure while fleeing monstrous alien technology, guiding her young children and herself to safety.

Height: Unrevealed (she was never shown in comparison to anyone of known height, but she seemed a bit shorter than Dr. Carver; perhaps approximately 5'4"-5'8")
Weight: Unrevealed (approximately 120-140 lbs.; while lean, she appeared both somewhat muscular and curvaceous, so not too light)
Eyes: Blonde
Hair: Unrevealed (likely dark
)

History:
(Avengers Forever#10 (fb)) -
Seeking to prevent humanity from eventually conquering the stars (in hopes of saving Earth from destruction as the hands of the Time-Keepers), the time-traveler Immortus appeared in the past of Earth-691, Earth-2120, Earth-9930, and other realities (possibly Earth-616 as well), visiting the staging base of a militant race that had reached Mars (known only as the Martian Masters), turning their attention towards Earth in order to once again role back Earth's technological development to keep them from expanding out from Earth.

(Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe A to Z Update#6: Killraven profile) - When the Martian Masters, whose 1901 assault against Earth had failed due to terrestrial pathogens, attacked Earth again on June 29, 2001 and rapidly conquered humanity, Maureen and her husband survived the initial assault.

(Amazing Adventures II#30: Killraven file (fb) - BTS) - Jonathan Raven's father was presumably killed during the first five years of Second-Wave assaults by Martian Masters.

raven-maureen-691-full-flee(Amazing Adventures II#18 (fb)) <2006 (see comments)> - Seeking to escape from the onslaught of the Martians Masters and their deadly tripods, Maureen fled from New York City (likely Manhattan) across a bridge toward the suburbs, carrying her older son, Jonathan, in her arms and her younger son, Joshua, on her back.

As the tripod machines assaulted the fleeing refugees, Maureen urged Jonathan into a drop shaft to the island below, and she followed him, just as the bridge above them was destroyed.

As they exited the shaft on Welfare Island, Maureen told Jonathan they would be safe until this was all over.

They were suddenly charged by one of the inmates from a local hospital, who had freed himself when the apes first attacked, leapt at Maureen and her children, Dr. Ann Carver blasted and incapacitated and/or killed the kyphotic creature. raven-maureen-691-profile-babyonback

After explaining that "those sick ones" were more dangerous when they had been starved for a day or two, Dr. Carver introduced herself and told Maureen and her children that they were welcome to stay at her place if they wanted.

After Maureen agreed, Dr. Carver took them to her place. As they wrapped blankets around themselves, Dr. Carver told her to settle down with her kids for a long haul as they would be there for quite a while.

(Amazing Adventures II#18 (fb) - BTS) - They spent 2 weeks hiding out with Dr. Carver, occasionally raiding the hospital for food.

(Amazing Adventures II#18 (fb)) - On the morning of the 15th day, Dr. Carver detected an approaching helicopter. Maureen asked if it was the Martians, but Dr. Carver noted that it was too far away to tell.

When Keeper Raker emerged with some human soldiers, the two women initially believed that they were saved, but then Raker ordered his men to kill the adults but to spare the children.

(Amazing Adventures II#18 (fb) - BTS) - Raker then took Jonathan with him for training by the Apes but told the other soldiers to do whatever they wanted with Jonathan's younger brother, as he was of no concern.

Comments: Created/adapted by Marv Wolfman, adapting a story by Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, and Neal Adams.

In case it's not clear, Earth-691 is a reality in which the Martian Masters who had assaulted Earth in 1901 returned in 2001 and eventually conquered Earth. Killraven helped lead the overthrow of the Martian Masters, but this is also the same reality that was eventually conquered by the Badoon in the 31st century until they were overthrown by the Guardians of the Galaxy.

A Martian Masters profile on Killraven in Amazing Adventures II#30 noted the presumptive time of death of Killraven's father. This was shown again, but redrawn in the Killraven graphic novel. As far as I can tell, there was not additional information in the latter. Thanks to David Zuckerman for pointing out the appearances of those profiles.
As Joshua Raven looked like he was two years old in the flashback in Amazing Adventures II#18, it would seem that his and Killraven's father perished no earlier than 2003.

The history presented in Amazing Adventures II#18 clearly implies that Jonathan Raven was captured a short time (probably less than a month) after the Martian invasion of 2001, and not in 2006 A.D. That latter date was introduced by Don McGregor, the writer who created the Martian Chronological Records for Killraven that appeared in Amazing Adventures II#27 & 30 and in the Killraven Graphic Novel, and who wrote 17 of the 22 stories about Killraven that were published prior to 2001. Significantly, he did not write the first three Killraven stories, including the one in which Dr. Carver made her only appearance. I can only assume that he tweaked the backstory provided by the original writers to suit his own plans.

It has long been established that the "Martian Masters" had an outpost on Mars but were not native to that planet.
