rampaging_sloth-mm-full-seatedHistory:
(Mighty Mouse#5 (fb) - BTS) - Alongside Bernie Badger and Gas Gopher, the Rampaging Sloth was a member of the League of Super Rodents (see comments).

(Mighty Mouse#4 (fb) - BTS) - After the Anti-Minotaur, a resident of a negative (antimatter) universe, threatened the existence of all realities, his opposite, the Minotaur, sent his agent, Harebinger, to bring Mighty Mouse to the edge of the galaxy to meet him.

(Mighty Mouse#4 - BTS) - Summoned to Reality-65119, the heroic Mighty Mousette-25915 was slain by the combined power of the Anti-Minotaur and his enforcer, Mangy Mouse-19954.

(Mighty Mouse#5) - Appreciating that he needed more power, Mighty Mouse returned to Earth and recruited the aid of the League of Super Rodents, as well as Bat-Bat and the Bug Wonder, Samor the Sub-Plotter, Strongman and the Cow.

Via a gas bubble formed by Gas Gopher, Mighty Mouse flew his allies to the Minotaur's ship, after which the Minotaur sent them to the Anti-Monitor's negative universe.

There Mighty Mouse pursued and battled Mangy Mouse, but the League of Super Rodents and the rest of Mighty Mouse's allies proved to be no match for the Anti-Minotaur.

(Mighty Mouse#5 - BTS) - In response, the Minotaur sacrificed all of his power to summon Super Mouse-42126, and Harebinger sent him into the Anti-Monitor's negative universe.

Super Mouse destroyed the Anti-Monitor's Anti-Motor.

(Mighty Mouse#5 (fb) - BTS) - The League of Super Rodents, Bat-Bat and the Bug Wonder, Samor the Sub-Plotter, Strongman and the Cow escaped the Anti-Monitor's exploding planet and regathered on a nearby asteroid.

(Mighty Mouse#5) - As Mighty Man located his allies, they appreciated that their asteroid was being pulled into a "bullet hole" (something akin to a black hole, with a massive gravity well), which was sucking in the entire anti-universe. Using all of his strength, Mighty Mouse stopped the asteroid and hurled it back toward the Minotaur's ship, allowing him to transport them aboard.

The Rampaging Sloth and his allies wondered about Mighty Mouse, who accepted his seeming doom as he was pulled into the "bullet hole."

(Mighty Mouse#5 - BTS) - However, Super Mouse arrived and hurled Mighty Mouse back to the Minotaur's ship. '

As the Anti-Minotaur fell into the "bullet hole," Super Mouse apparently faded back into obscurity, and the anti-universe imploded.

(Mighty Mouse#5) - After congratulating the heroes on their success, the Minotaur sent them back to their places on Earth, wiping their memories of the event.

(Mighty Mouse#5 - BTS) - Mighty Mouse's super-memory allowed him to recall the events.

So, first and foremost, sloths are not rodents, but rather xenarthran (placental mammals native to the Americas)...but perhaps they are a bit lax in their membership rules...especially since badgers are not rodents, either...
At least gophers are rodents, so they were 1 for 3 on this one.
Also, sloths aren't giant like the Rampaging Sloth was, but perhaps radiation mutated into a much larger form, perhaps comparable to extinct prehistoric species of sloths, like Pseudomegatherium.
Some extinct species of sloth, like Eromotherium, were close to 20' long and weighing 5 tons.

Mighty Mouse#4-5 were a parody of DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths, with Piranha mimicking Pariah, Harebinger as Harbinger, and the Minotaur and Anti-Minotaur as the Monitor and Anti-Monitor, respectively.

I am only ready Mighty Mouse#5 for this profile, and I'm only vaguely familiar with Mighty Mouse from the comics:

I am aware that he started out as Super Mouse (after the initial idea as a fly was rejected), with an origin along the lines of Super Mouse empowered by super-soap, super-soup, super-celery and super-cheese. Mouse of Tomorrow #1 (1942).

What I'm less clear on is after he was reinvented as Mighty Mouse, it seemed like he was coming from the stars to rescue humanity. What are his origins?

In Marvel's Mighty Mouse#4-5, there's a Crisis on Infinite Earths parody (Mices on Infinite Earths), and when Mighty Mouse gets distracted by his enemy/counterpart Mangy Mouse, Harebinger or someone summons Super Mouse to save the day, which he does, pretty much by sacrificing himself to save everyone.

So, either this Super Mouse is from a reality where he never became Mighty Mouse, or the mainstream Mighty Mouse was never Super Mouse (Mighty Mouse didn't remember being Super Mouse).

Anyway, does Mighty Mouse have a(n different) origin story? Is he from another world, like Superman? Or something?

I had thought that Mighty Mouse was small, like a mouse, but he was only a little smaller than other anthropomorphic characters, such as the Cow and the humanoid Strongman.

Earth-16940 Piranha traveled to Reality-65119, warning of the Anti-Minotaur. Mighty Mouse #4 (1991)

Earth-19954 Mangy Mouse tyrannically ruled this world until it was destroyed by the Anti-Minotaur, whom Mangy Mouse subsequently served. Aka Earth-Not. Mighty Mouse #4 (1991)

Earth-25915 Mighty Mousette summoned from this reality by Harebinger-65119, slain in battle with Anti-Minotaur and Mangy Mouse-19954. Aka Earth-♀ .Mighty Mouse #4 (1991)

Earth-42126 Super Mouse empowered by super-soap, super-soup, super-celery and super-cheese. Mouse of Tomorrow #1 (1942)
