History:
(The All New Exiles#1 (fb) - BTS) - Jerald Dragoon and
Brittany Chien had an intimate relationship, resulting in a son. Chien
became the assassin Shuriken for the covert organization Aladdin while
Dragoon formed a type of symbiotic bond with the monstrous beast Qune,
which would override his human body. Chien fled, much to Dragoon's
chagrin.
(The All New Exiles#1) - Chien, now Shuriken of the
Exiles, who were falsely blamed for the partial devastation of New York,
returned to Dragoon's stately home to contact Aladdin about the strange
destruction. However, Dragoon was in the house and confronted her in the
bedroom. Shuriken spurned him again; Dragoon angrily gave in to Qune,
who took over his body and slashed at Shuriken, seeking to capture her
for the reward money. Shuriken escaped outside where her Exiles
teammates took turns attacking Qune, but he proved resilient, almost
making off with the powerful Amber Hunt as hostage. The Exiles then
attacked in unison, nearly overwhelming Qune, so he teleported away.
(The All New Exiles#3 (fb) - BTS) - Qune stealthily
tracked the Exiles' movements intending to capture them for the reward
money, but not wishing to harm Shuriken as she was the mother of his
child.
(The All New Exiles#3) - Qune confronted the Exiles in the
sewer tunnels, pulling away Shuriken from an enraged Juggernaut, who
then turned on Qune. The fiery Amber Hunt shot a focused laser burst at
Qune's heart, but the merciful Shuriken threw a well-placed
reflecti-star that directed the blast away. This gave Qune the chance to
teleport away again. Hunt condemned Shuriken for doing so, declaring
Qune's inevitable return would be Shuriken's fault alone.

The All New Exiles
title finished within a year and Qune's "inevitable return" and expanded
storyline with Shuriken's unseen son was unfortunately never realized.
No good clear full body shots, just dynamic early '90s action art!
