mole_people-2992-groupbrawl Powers/Abilities: The Mole People were certainly...sturdy, and they were more than willing to fight, although it is unrevealed whether they actually have any super-strength or other superhuman abilities. They carried staffs or clubs with which they would strike others, including other Mole People.

They were exceptionally dimwitted, and they would fight over the rights to something, rather than working together to accomplish their goals.

They all wore some sort of apparently protective eyewear, which would most likely indicate that they were accustomed to the dim light of Subterranea and needed protection in daylight on the surface; but it also possible that they just wore the eyewear because that's what their parents, etc. had done and they didn't really need it.

They had the command of great numbers of Moloids.

Height: Unrevealed (they were not shown by anyone beyond themselves, although they appeared to be bigger than the Moloids. Assuming they were close to Mole Man/Harvey Elder's height, they were likely about 5' tall, or maybe a little shorter )
Weight: Unrevealed (given their body proportions, they were likely about 230-250 lbs. )
Eyes: Unrevealed (possibly brown)
Hair: Brown or purple

(Mutant 2099#1 (fb) - BTS) - By 2099 A.D., inbreeding had ruined the gene pool of the Mole People (presumably descendants of the Mole Man (Harvey Elder)).

A group of at least six Mole People, at least two of whom were siblings (notably "sister-wife" (with her sibling presumably known to her as "brother-husband")), plotted to take over a verdant park, which they knew as Tree Land. "Brother-Husband" at least believed that they had all talked and agreed that Tree Land was his.

The Mole People apparently had the Moloids dig a large tunnel to the surface of the park, and large numbers of the Moloids swarmed the park. The mutant Chad Channing and his ally, Reed Richards (whose brain occupied an exo-skeleton in the form of the Thing (Ben Grimm)), arrived to oppose them.

(Mutant 2099#1) - Brother-husband ordered the Moloids and the other Mole People to beat the good guys, and Tree Land would be his. Sister-wife struck him in the head with her staff, insisting that it was hers. In return, Brother-husband kicked her in the face, telling that they had talked and that Tree Land was his. She turned and choked him, but the other Mole People all shouted that Tree Land was theirs, and they all dogpiled on one another, punching and hitting. each other.

Reed then hurled a pair of Moloids at the Mole People, knocking them back into the hole from which they had emerged.

(Mutant 2099#1 - BTS) - The Moloids followed their masters down the hole.

The Mole People apparently abandoned their mission, as they did not travel back up the tunnel to "Tree Land."

This 2099 A.D.-centric reality was not Earth-928 from the 1990s 2099 A.D. issues but rather the Marvel Knights series of 2099 A.D. issues that came out in 2004.
The Mole People's fate in the apparently merged reality of Earth-2099 will likely remain unrevealed.

This profile was completed 08/31/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25^th anniversary 's celebratory event to represent Chad Channing's stories and characters.

MOLE MAN (Harvey Rupert Elder) - formerly desired to join Explorer's Club, followed Monster Hunters, became lost in Subterranea, nearly blinded by Valley of Diamonds, discovered and tamed Moloid Subterraneans and Deviant mutates living there, has attempted to take over surface world on numerous occasions, off and on lover of Kala, frequent enemy of Tyrannus, formerly employed Outcasts--Fantastic Four I#1

but otherwise have no known connection to:
MOLE-MEN - race of yellow skinned subterranean humanoids that had remarkable strength and amazing tunneling ability. Aided the Japanese Yellow Claw in attacking America's military infrastructure in the US Midwest--All-Select#6/1
MOLE MEN (Xoorr) - primitive subterranean creatures, encountered Bruiser and kept him for the sport of beating him. Slow moving, large, superhuman strength--Tales to Astonish I#16/3
