History:

(Mystic Comics I#5/6 (fb) - BTS) - Boss McGool worked with Nadia LaSanne as his secretary. McGool became involved in a racket involving a butcher shop that supplied food to an orphange. McGool supplied meat to the butcher shop but to save money sent them tainted meat. This resulted in 35 orphans becoming sick from food poisoning after eating the tainted meat for their Christmas dinner.

(Mystic Comics I#5/6) - The costumed hero Moon-Man investigated the food poisoning and from searching Nadia's purse, discovered a receipt for the tainted meat McGool had paid for. Nadia went to McGool's apartment and warned him that Moon-Man had found evidence against him. Suddenly, Moon-Man entered the apartment and confronted McGool, demanding to know what became of the money McGool took. McGool summoned two of his henchmen to attack Moon-Man but the hero easily defeated them then left the apartment, vowing to put McGool in jail.

    Frightened by the encounter, McGool made a break for it and made arrangements to get out of the city by train but he dropped the train schedule on the floor of his home, which Moon-Man later discovered. McGool and his henchmen were seated aboard the train as it was pulling out when McGool saw Moon-Man approaching him and tried to pull his gun but Moon-Man punched him in the jaw and rendered him unconscious. Carrying McGool over his shoulder, Moon-Man jumped off the speeding train, then drove him to the nearest police station and turned the crime-boss over to the custody of the police. Moon-Man had also obtained a full confession from Nadia identifying McGool's crimes.

    A newspaper headline later reported that McGool had been jailed for the food poisoning; the children were expected to make a full recovery.
