Bonebatter McBust toured the countryside with his manager, stopping at
small towns and fairs, selling tickets to see the vicious (but cheating)
wrestler
tackle local volunteers for prize money to stay in the ring for two
minutes.
(Powerhouse Pepper#2/2) - At yet another fair, McBust
and his manager wrangled enough interest for only one courageous
challenger, who needed the prize money to help his children get through
school. In a packed tent but with no referee, McBust kicked the
challenger and threw him out of the ring. The indomitable Powerhouse
Pepper was in the audience and declared McBust hadn't played fair.
Angered, McBust dragged Pepper into the ring, foolishly thinking him a
weakling due to his smaller build. McBust pounded Pepper until the
smaller fellow fought back and left McBust briefly dazed. The manager
cried foul and ordered Pepper out; McBust had recovered and
ineffectively whacked Pepper with a stool to the back of his head. Now
riled up, Pepper grabbed both McBust and the manager, and stretched
them, binding them into a giant knot in the ring. Pepper demanded the
prize money before he would release them (which he then passed to the
first challenger), and then ordered the crooks leave town forever.

I'll take it that the knot he was tied into with his manager doesn't indicate any actual stretching ability, but rather artistic license and maybe torn muscles (ouch!).
"Bonebatter" sounds like a nickname, but this is a comedy mag, so who knows?
