History: (Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: Spider-Man#1/2 - BTS) - Gus Beezer, a young fan of comic books, made his own superhero comics about himself by drawing and stapling them together by hand. The stories in those comics mirrored the history of reality-35191 (and the subsequent entries herein reference that reality--Snood).

(Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: Spider-Man#1/2) - As Gus Beezer was walking with his dog Zabu, the two were struck by lightning, tripped over a microwave, and fell into a vat of hazardous chemicals. The two emerged flying and shooting electrical bolts from their eyes, and Gus decided that they should become superheroes. He repurposed a Halloween costume as his superhero outfit and established for them the secret identities of Marvel Kid and Marvel Dog.

A flash flood struck the neighborhood, and Marvel Kid and Marvel Dog uses their lightning vision to destroy the rain clouds. Gus noticed his annoying older sister, Emily, needing help but decided to rescue his comic collection first. Marvel Dog grabbed Emily instead, but she ordered him to put her down, and Zabu obliged, dropping her into the water. The waters were receding, and Marvel Kid told Emily to swim towards a nearby hill while he flew away to read his comics somewhere dry.

(Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: Hulk#1/2) - After finishing patrol of the town, Gus left to do his part in the school play. He tasked Marvel Dog to protect the city while he was away, telling the Mayor to call him in case of an emergency. Marvel Dog was called upon to save the Mayor's cat and returned home to resume his sleep, where Gus found him after the play and incorrectly assumed that the evening had been uneventful.

(Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: X-Men#1/2) - The city was in chaos, and Marvel Kid was late to help because he had to finish his chores first. Finally arriving at the scene, Gus saw that the carnage was caused by his baby sister, Tillie, who had grown to gargantuan size due to her astronomical appetite. Tillie was eating cars and buses, and Marvel Kid told her to stop, but she simply grabbed him and threw him away. Gus then rushed to a pet store and ordered eight thousand bags of dog food. Marvel Dog ate all of it, also growing to enormous size, and Marvel Kid flew to confront Tillie again. She grabbed him and was about to eat him when Marvel Dog showed up, causing Tillie to drop everything and go play with him. Putting on a paper bag over his head to avoid being recognized by his mother, Gus told her not to feed Tillie as much.

(Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: Gus Beezer & Spider-Man#1/2) - After a battle with Dr. Deathface, Marvel Kid and Marvel Dog returned home and noticed new neighbors moving in. Gus noted they had a cat, failing to recognize it as a cyborg in disguise. Zabu chased the cat up the tree, leading the new neighbors to complain to Gus's mother, and for her to order Zabu be kept inside a crate. However, she did not specify that the crate had to be locked, so Gus left it open. Zabu got out and fought the cyborg cat, KIT-E7, destroying the neighbors' house in the process. The next morning, Zabu saw that the neighbors were all felines in disguise as well and tried to go after them, but Gus remained oblivious and had to stop him from causing more trouble for the two of them.

Comments: Created by Gail Simone and Jason Lethcoe.

Each of the four Gus Beezer comics had two stories in it. Unlike the conventional approach of putting one story after the other, they were instead running in parallel across every page, with the top 2/3rds devoted to the main story, and the bottom 1/3rd for the extra one, separated by a stylized tear. Gus himself explained to the audience how to read that format properly.
