martians-infinitywarps-wakrobotsmartians-infinitywarps-caperikHistory:
(
Infinity Wars#3) - After gaining the power of the Infinity Stones, Gamora sealed the souls of the universe within the Soul Gem. In order to incapacitate its inhabitants, she additionally folded the universe in half, merging every soul with another.

This course of action accidentally resulted in the creation of Warp World, a pocket dimension where history was rewritten and adapted to the fused beings.>

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb) - BTS) - When the Martians invaded Earth, Wakanda remained free (apparently via a combination of giant robots and airships that fought off the Martian tripods), but in the rest of the world, the Martians took what they pleased.

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb)) - The Martians captured a mother and her son (who would become known as Erik Killraven) who had been exiled from Wakanda.

Even in captivity, the mother taught her son of Wakanda and how it had always been free, but rather than generating appreciation for Wakanda and its Black Panther, the son disdained Wakanda for exiling them and leaving them to the Martians' mercy.

martians-infinitywarps-robotishs-krfight(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb) - BTS) - The Martians experimented on their captives for amusement and edification.

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb)) - In the Martian arenas, the exiled Wakanda youth became a fierce warrior.

martians-infinitywarps-exper-killr(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb)) - Experimentation from the Martians granted Killraven psychic powers.

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb)) - The Martians experimented on other captives for amusement and edification, notably M'Bakshulla, who was given large, ape-like bionic arms.

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#1 (fb) - BTS / Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb)) - Erik Killraven and M'Bakshulla grew up in the Martian arenas, where they eventually turned on the Martians. M'Bakshulla was known as the Great Killer of the Arena, Bane of the Masters and Slayer of Martians.

martians-infinitywarps-kr&mbsh-esc

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#2 (fb)) - Killraven and M'Bakshulla escaped their Martian masters, apparently destroying a facility in the process.

Hatred for the Wakandans and the freedom that was theirs alone, Killraven used his clairsentience to locate the Time Diamonds, via which they traveled into their past (the present day of others in the Warp World).

(Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#1 (fb) - BTS / Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther#1-2 - BTS) - Erik Killraven and M'Bakshulla slew Wakandan ruler T'Chaka and then targeted the rest of the Wakandan royal family. They were eventually slain by the Zarathos-powered Ghost Panther (T'Challa, aka Johnny Blaze) and a panther-formed T'Chaka.

Comments: Created by Jed MacKay and Jefte Palo, based on the creations of H.G. Wells (more specifically, based on the Martian Masters of Earth-691, which were based on the creations of H.G. Wells).

The Warp World is within the Soul Gem and so it is a pocket realm within Reality-616. There is almost certainly another Reality that mimics the Warp World, but for now, to avoid confusion from the still-existing realm, I am going to avoid a reality designation.

As the Warp World was a merger of beings, Erik Killraven was a merger of Erik Killmonger and Killraven-691, and M'Bakshulla the White was a mix of M'Baku the Man-Ape (whose Jabari people worshipped the White Gorilla) and M'Shulla the Black-691).

The cover of the Ghost Panther issues says "Infinity Warps: Ghost Panther," but the indicia says "Infinity Wars: Ghost Panther."

This profile was completed 01/31/2026, but its publication was delayed as it was intended for the Appendix 25th anniversary 's celebratory event.
