History:

(Flintstone Kids#4/2 (fb) - BTS) - Paddy O'Furniture the Leprockaun scavenged and stole furniture to resell to his friends as a decorator. The items might be returned after several centuries. Paddy once had fun by putting a rubber snake in Saint Patrick's hat.

(Flintstone Kids#4/2) - Eventually, the Leprockaun's travels took him to the town of Bedrock, where he stole the bedroom furniture from the sleepy boys Freddy Flintstone and Barney Rubble using a rainbow. Eventually the lads found the rainbow's end and Paddy piling up the furniture onto his pushcart. The Leprockaun cheerfully introduced himself and admitted that catching him meant he had to grant a wish. Freddy and Barney leapt at Paddy, but he teleported away and reclined smugly on a cloud lounge, smoking his pipe. Freddy pretended to give up chasing the Leprockaun but instead set a trap using his bedspread to mimic a couch. Paddy soon found it, thinking it suitable for his friend Jimmy McGrath, and sat on it, but was suddenly wrapped up in the bedspread by Freddy and Barney. The Leprockaun admitted that he'd been caught and handed over a wish-granting Sham-Rock stone to each boy. Paddy then teleported away with his goods and Freddy realized that the Leprockaun could have done that at any time.

Comments: Created by Michael Gallagher and Warren Kremer.

The Leprockaun revealed his name using a joke: "what's Irish and sits outside?" The answer: "Paddy O'Furniture" (patio furniture).

CLARIFICATIONS :
Leprockaun has no known connections to:

Sham-Rocks

Paddy the Leprockaun kept magic Sham-Rocks (stones in the shape of a shamrock) in his pocket that he would pass out as a reward for catching him. Sham-Rocks granted the bearer a wish at any time, anywhere. Young Freddy Flintstone and Barney Rubble received one each for catching the mischievous Leprockaun. Barney used his wish to get them home from far away, while Freddy used his to have all the furniture returned that Paddy had stolen. The rocks vanished immediately after the wish was fulfilled.
