History:
(U.S.A. Comics I#5/3) - Jonah was the son of an American official who went to Shanghai to work at an international settlement there. Jonah accompanied his father to Shanghai. One day, Jonah and his father were walking in Shanghai when an earthquake hit the city and a piece of debris hit Jonah's father, killing him. Jonah was distraught by his father's death and that night, he left Shanghai on foot, hoping to forget his father by finding a chance in scenery.
Finding a barn on the edge of Shanghai, Jonah entered and found it was inhabited by Budd Powers, a roving adventurer. Budd invited Jonah to stay with him from then on. The next day they set out on foot to a village, hoping to find food there. However, as they neared the village they saw a group of bandits descending from the hills to pillage the town.
Deciding the fight was one-sided, Jonah and Budd entered the village to assist the villagers against the bandits. They quickly defeated three of the bandits with their fists, then claimed the men's rifles, opening fire against the remaining bandits. However, the bandit leader snuck up behind Jonah and Budd then took them prisoner, intending to torture them later. Jonah and Budd were tied up in a hut.
A Chinese boy named Sen Yat broke into the hut and untied Jonah and Budd's bonds. Discovering Sen Yat had firecrackers in his pockets, Jonah used the firecrackers to frighten the bandits, setting them off near the the bandits' camp so they would think government soldiers were attacking their position. The bandits fled the village.
The grateful villagers offered Jonah and Budd anything they wanted but the duo asked for just a good meal because they still had "all Asia to cover yet!"

This was Jonah's only adventure (although a caption claimed he'd return in the next issue); it was a very blatant rip-off of Milton Caniff's comic strip Terry and the Pirates and not only in premise; Jonah Lamb was traced from Caniff's Terry Lee and Budd Powers was traced from Pat Ryan; Sen Yat fills the same role as Connie, although he's physically different from him.

Budd was a roving adventurer who was traveling through China when Jonah Lamb lost his father. Budd invited Jonah to accompany him. Together, Budd and Jonah defended a village from bandits. Budd was an excellent fighter and spoke Chinese.

Sen Yat was a Chinese boy who lived in a village near Shanghai. He didn't speak English. When bandits attacked his village and captured Jonah Lamb and Budd Powers, Sen Yat came to their rescue, untying their bonds so the two men could help defeat the bandits. Jonah used firecrackers that Sen Yat had brought in his pocket to create the sound of explosives, making the bandits think government soldiers were approaching, causing them to flee the village.
