History:
(Young Men I#22/2 (fb) - BTS)- Mr. Krone was the caretaker at Highbridge Cemetery. When his brother Krug became a criminal and was sentenced to death along with his accomplices Mears and Rogers, the three criminals vowed they'd return from the grave for revenge on the district attorney who prosecuted them . After their executions, their bodies fell under the care of Krone. Wishing revenge for his brother's death, rather than embalm the corpses, Krone resurrected the three men as zombies by jolting their bodies with electricity. Krone schemed to have the three zombies kill the district attorney.
(Young Men I#22/2) - Hoping to create a cover story for his actions, Krone went to John, the cemetery guard, and claimed someone had come to collect the dead men's bodies. When the detective Rex Lane and his secretary Belle happened by, John showed them a note (actually written by Krone using disappearing ink) claiming to be from a moving company who had taken the corpses to a different cemetery. John doubted there was any problem but Rex was intrigued and decided to investigate further.
Krone showed Rex where the bodies had been but when Rex asked to see the removal notice again, the message had disappeared. Fearing the dead men had come back, Rex, Belle and Krone went to the district attorney's home to warn him but the district attorney found the story preposterous and had his bodyguard Mahoney eject them from his home.
Just then, the three zombies emerged from the dark and began an attack on the district attorney's house. Rex saw a smile on Krone's face and immediately guessed he was the zombies' master. Tricking Krone into believing he had a gun, Rex forced Krone to call off the zombies, who crumbled into dust. When Rex revealed he'd recognized Krone's own handwriting in the removal notice, Krone confessed his crimes.

Krug was Krone's brother and had been a criminal alongside his allies Mears and Rogers. After being prosecuted by the district attorney and sentenced to death, the three men vowed they'd return from death for revenge. After their executions their bodies came into the possession of Mr. Krone, who revived them using electricity. Krone sent them to kill the district attorney but when Krone thought Rex Lane had a gun pressed into his back, Krone ordered them to stop; the zombies then crumbled into dust.
As zombies, the three men were immune to bullets and most other forms of physical harm. They also had superhuman strength. They responded to Krone's verbal commands and crumbled apart when he ordered them to stop.

The district attorney (left) was responsible for prosecuting Krug, Mears and Rogers, who vowed revenge on him. When Rex Lane, Belle and Mr. Krone came to warn the district attorney that the men had been raised as zombies, the district attorney refused to believe them and had his blond bodyguard Mahoney (right) eject them from his home. Soon enough, the three zombies attacked the district attorney's house and came close to killing him but the district attorney was saved when Rex Lane trcked Krone into making the zombies stop. The district attorney thanked Rex for saving his life.
