History:
(Creatures on the Loose#22 (fb) -
BTS) - Kaman Thuu was a priest of the Seven Gods of Zangabal (see
comments), apparently operating out of a local temple.
(Creatures on the Loose#23 (fb)
- BTS) - Kaman Thuu offered gold to Ald Thurmis to steal the black
Mirror of Zaffar from Athmar Phong; however, Thurmis was instead
captured and imprisoned in a cell in Phong's home.
(Creatures on the Loose#22) - As
Thongor, a Valkarthan who fled from the city guards of Zangabal after
stealing to feed his hunger, passed near his chambers, Kaman Thuu
opened a hidden door and beckoned Thongor to come within. Although
weary of trading a known danger for a dank and unlit one, Thongor
appreciated that the guards would be there soon, and he warned his
seeming benefactor that he would pay for treachery with his life.
Introducing himself and noting his career as a priest, Kaman Thuu
assured Thongor that he could be trusted.
Kaman Thuu offered Thongor sanctuary and 20 pieces
of gold in exchange for Thongor's obtain a mirror of black glass (the
Mirror of Zaffar). Despite feeling more wickedness than generosity in
this plan, Thongor accepted the offer as he needed to eat. He
questioned Kaman Thuu why the local Thieves Guild would not perform
this task for him, and Kaman Thuu explained that they feared the
mirror's owners, a cruel magician named Athmar Phong; however, he added
that this night Phong reveled in his own brotherhood's vile rites, and
thus in his absence, he could easily steal the black mirror.
When Thongor commented that it was never wise to
meddle with wizards, as he may have a demon watching his treasure,
Kaman Thuu mocked him for being afraid, but Thongor countered that the
priest sat safely in his silken next and paid another to take his
risks. Advising Thongor that he would not live long in Zangabal without
joining the Thieves Guild via the gold Thuu would give him, the priest
further assuaged the barbarian's concerns by giving him the crystal
talisman the Shield of Cathloda, which absorbed and diverted the
attacks of most magical forces.
After Thongor accepted the mystic talisman, Thuu
showed him a hidden route that would carry him beneath the house of
Athmar Phong, advising him to carefully follow the yellow symbols and
not to stray from the path. As Thongor started down the path, Thuu
silently considered that he would soon possess the Mirror, which would
give him power enough to seize the throne of Zangabal and also to rid
the world of Thongor.
(Creatures on the Loose#22
- BTS) - Within Phong's house, Thongor was seduced by a demon in the
form of a lovely maiden who removed his necklace and the Shield of
Cathloda from him before revealing her true demonic form.
(Creatures on the Loose#23
- BTS) - The demon overpowered Thongor and bound him to a wall next to
Ald Thurmis. Thongor freed himself and Thurmis, recovered the Shield of
Cathloda and slew the demon. The talisman also protected Thongor when
Athmar Phong confronted them, and Thongor used it to destroy the Mirror
of Zaffar, releasing the demon Aqquoonkagua, who slew Phong before
returning to his native realm.

Creatures on
the Loose#23 calls Kaman Thuu a "false priest," but whether that just
meant that he was corrupt or that he wasn't a priest at all is
unrevealed.
Kaman Thuu has
the look of the Elder Race, a particular race of humanoids who existed
on Earth before the dawn of humanity. That doesn't mean that he is of
the Elder Race, but he could be...
